"We stayed for two nights and love that the facilities and amenities are so comprehensive, because when the weather was not in our favour, we still managed to enjoy the beautiful onsen, warm foot baths, pretty garden, live music, free flow beverages and the calming view from our spacious room. The bedding is absolutely comfortable and snug, and i slept so well. Even though the hotel is quite large, it manages to maintain a luxurious feel and generally quiet ambience. The breakfast is excellent! The choices and quality is great. There is a sheltered walkway to the neighbouring hotel Yunnesun which has a Family Mart. "

"We had an amazing experience staying here. The room we stayed in was clean and spacious and the private onsen was an added bonus. The shabu shabu dinner was one of the best meals we had on our entire trip and the service from staff was great. Overall I would highly recommend this place for anyone staying in Hakone!"

"The hotel made an error and did not have a meal prepared for us in the evening. Only one restaurant in walking distance which turned out to be a pleasant surprise. Did not take a bath as we had come from golf where there was a nice onsen. The hotel provides a nice yukata to wear in the property. Green tea and manjyu was a nice welcoming touch in the room. "

Magical Place - Restaurant needs flexibility

"Overall, a great stay. I have to deduct a star because the restaurant only served the included traditional breakfast with our stay. We could not order or get added to the dinner plan when we arrived because it is a traditional dinner. My Wife and I were on our own for lunch and dinner. I didn’t know we needed an advance booking to eat at the restaurant for dinner. Hotels .com has a restaurant listed, so I figured we could just order off a menu. Luckily, there is a Family Mart and several Family run restaurants within walking distance. We recommend Sengoku Ukyo. Ate there for both dinners. Sweet family run restaurant. Senkyoro technically does have a restaurant, but only if you already made a plan to eat there. Breakfast was incredible. Just you wish they had an option to order other items for lunch and dinner so guests are not stuck walking in the cold weather. It was snowing during our stay."

"Very nice hotel. Loved the staff. They accommodated us so well even after having some trouble and checking in late. Our room was beautiful and luxurious with a splash of traditional culture. Able to instantly relax with one of their reserved private onsen, which was incredibly scenic and soothing btw. We purchased the half board dining experience and did not regret it one bit. The food included many varieties of traditional Japanese dishes. Conveniently located near convenience stores and bus stops. Nice quiet area with beautiful scenery. Would not hesitate to come back here on our next trip. "
