Great Basement Apt
Located on a very quiet street, great neighbourhood. It is a very large 2 bedroom basement apt with large kitchen and dining area. The first bedroom is quite large with queen bed and lots of closet/drawer space. The second bedroom isn't as large with only a full bed- so not quite large enough for 2 adults. Kids slept fine though. Washer & dryer unit was a plus. Can hear some noise from upstairs occupants, but awake hours were reasonable; no noise after 10:30-11 pm and not up before 8am. Plenty of steet parking. Seperate side entrance. Plenty of nice clean towels and great shower. Had a personal small emergency (not related to anything inside unit) and had to contact owner - was on vacation, but got a reply within a reasonable amount of time. Easy to work with. WIll stay again in future. Was also a plus to be staying in basement apt during heat wave exerpeinced in the area. No homes/businesses in area have air conditioning. Stayed cool at night.

Great Place
Great place to be during those times when we weren't out adventuring. Would be ideal for 4, nice and spacious, comfortable seating area , and dinning/ kitchen areas. Host was friendly and considerate. Being a basement, it was a bit cool, bring a sweater.

STERILE AND BASIC
This home was very disappointing. First morning woke at 7:45 for 3 hours of small dog barking and running around overhead. No dish cloth and one tea towel. Ample bathroom towels. Bath mat torn and other mat dirty. Threw into washer. W/D was fine. No extra sheet set available or a broom or dustpan. Dishwasher had no upper rack for cups/glasses. Pulled out fridge shelf and water poured out on floor and other shelves. Cleaned up and ended up with pot inside to catch the water leaking on food. Opened oven storage drawer for a roaster - none but food in grease along indented edge and on drawer bottom. Ended up cleaning it and washing the dirty pot holders in the oven drawer. Self cleaning oven which needed cleaning badly. Basic dishes and silverware. First frying pan I took out had eggs on it. Washed it. No bottle opener/very basic utensils. Originally booked for 6 days but airline changed date and day we flew in. Contacted owner to get in one day earlier and leave one day earlier. After 2nd email replied only if I wanted to pay for an extra night even though we weren't staying an extra night. Ended up staying elsewhere the night we flew in and the night before we left though this Vrbo was not booked. Television service offered was ROKU. Also a sat dish? outside on house and inside something on a black plate "Clear TV".? The Roku hookup was on floor and aiming the remote at television did nothing. Was not able to watch the television the whole time. Turns out you had to aim the remote onto the floor at the side of the television where the Roku connection lay. An instruction sheet left for those renting would have been so simple to leave by owner. A woman came down from upstairs and said she was the co/host and asked to take a blow up mattress in the bedroom closet to use. I showed her the dishwasher problem - not concerned said people use it like that just put your glasses and cups on the bottom. Washed all dishes by hand while there. The fridge leaking she would let the other host Tony (she called him by a different name) know about. The dirty stove/oven and drawer no concern about. Being a basement unit it was damp and cold with one oil heater you plugged in. Our whole family there from Manitoba for wedding and rented 3 other Vrbo -all excellent experiences. We would absolutely not recommend this home nor stay there again. I have photos of all of this. Vicky
