"Wonderful stay as always at the Midland but be aware! Receptionist in the spa insisted that you must book to use the pool or gym! Although we are post COVID I’ve never had to book to use the leisure facilities but they were adamant. Checked on the website and nothing is mentioned about having to book to use the pool. Hotel reception check in and out was exceptional as were the bar and restaurant staff who couldn’t do enough for you….sadly let down on the experience in the spa but will be back. "
