Great Location, Unit could use some TLC
Great location close to Forest Park. Unit was nicely decorated, but could use some TLC. Towel rack in bathroom was broken. Closet doors hard to open. Could have used some extra towels, blankets and TP. We did have a nice stay and it was nice to have a designated parking spot.

Perfect Apartment and Host, Suspicious Parking Lot
This apartment is even better than the photos. The beds are comfortable, rooms are spacious, and unit was extremely clean. The host is also incredibly kind and attentive. I would easily stay here again in the future. My only concern—the gate to the parking lot of the building is not active and is always open. During my stay, my car was vandalized (cut through the convertible soft top) and stolen. This is at no fault of the VRBO, but it’s worth noting for future guests. The central west end is an affluent and trendy neighborhood of St. Louis, but it also attracts a lot of crime. Through this experience, I learned this neighborhood ranks #1 in auto theft among the entire state, and criminal activity is at an all time high. Future guests should be mindful to empty their cars and make sure all doors are locked and secured, or even consider parking in a more secure location.

Accomidating and convenient
Owners were very helpful understanding and responsive. Apartment was clean close to everything downtown and comfortable. The building is in need of updating the hallways throughout are musky old dirty and bug problem at the back entryway downstairs at no fault to owner though.

Good location -Dated building
Chose this apartment as it is 2 bdrm and 1.5 bath for reasonable price. Location was great for wedding we were attending and Forest Park is close with so much to see and do. Highly recommend the art museum. As for the building and apt. unit - the building is old and dated. Hallways need better lighting and updating. Parking lot was supposedly gated but the gate was never closed. A security issue in this area. Metro line runs next to building. Apartment was clean and kitchen appears new. Beds were comfortable. Living room furniture is quite uncomfortable. Two windows did not close completely and made outside noise noticeable. We never got the TV to work even though we followed instructions. Was not a big deal to us as we had little time to watch TV and had our own devices with us. Overall, it was an okay stay for the price.

Not at all what we thought it would be
Its not often that I review properties in recent years unless the place is exceptional or awful. I'd recommend this apartment if you don't mind a parking that is a very long and unpleasant hike from the apartment building, or a building with rather grungy lobby area, elevator, and hallways, or wifi that is incredibly complicated to login to, or a super loud and noisy air conditioning unot.

Girls trip
We had a great weekend at this apartment. Perfect location. 5-15min from anywhere you want to go. Across the street practically from Forest Park. Beautiful neighborhood. Comfy beds. Walk across the street and down half a block to Mack's bar and grill. We had a delicious breakfast there. Lovely time all around. Apartment had everything we needed including coffee for the coffeemaker.

Home base in St. Louis
My son and I stayed at the Lux on a whirlwind weekend of apartment hunting. Apartment was perfectly located, minutes away from various highways to get anywhere around St. Louis, easy walk to Forest Park (which is AMAZING). Apartment was just as imaged, Arthur was fantastic (great advice on neighborhoods, thank you!), neighborhood very nice.
