The hotel was great! The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The daily happy hour was a great way to get to know the other guests at the hotel. The daily breakfast was filling and great quality as well.
The rooms were as advertised. Modern, clean, and accessible. While slightly small in size, they were perfect for our trip to Auckland.

Stayed for 3 nights at Marsden Viaduct (which is basically the Sofitel) but cheaper. It uses 2-3 floors of the Sofitel Hotel. You arrive at Sofitel reception area and call Marsden reception to check in and a staff member comes and greets you and takes you to Level 3 to their reception. All the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Great location, easy walking distance to Wynyard area and also Viaduct with plenty of restaurants, cafes, supermarket etc. Easy for all transport options. Lovely and quiet, with a beautiful outlook. Close enough to walk anywhere in CBD, Britomart etc. Huge room, very comfortable bed, great amenities. Will definitely stay here again, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anyone.
