This is the second time I am staying in this hotel. Super near to Sapporo Station, under 10 mins walk. Great service, clean room and most importantly, excellent front desk!
I accidentally booked a smoking room and my wife couldn't really take the cigarette smell in the room. I approached the front deck asking if we could have our room changed but they were fully booked. Although I had already prepaid for my room, I didn't want to upset my wife and I was ready to check out immediately and find another hotel nearby. The front desk heard that and told me to wait and she went inside the office.
She came out with a manager by the name of Mr. HAGA, and he apologised for not being able to change my room. I told him it isn't the hotel's fault and I totally understand. What happened next was beyond me. Mr Haga told me they have a room under repair and if I don't mind, I could have that room.
He showed me the room and guess what... the "repair" was a hairline crack at the wash basin which is not even obvious and the sink works perfectly! That says so much about this hotel trying to be perfect in their service. I accepted the room and Mr Haga apologised for the sink again. He don't need to!
I highly recommend this hotel.
