Interesting no room service no real restaurant. No coffee internally need to go to a private coffee shop around the block. No bus to airport. Need to walk down to a competing hotel. Rooms are ok but very small bathroom and toilet area if you are a tall guest Seems more like a glorified wedding place. Strange furniture and decoration in the lobby including a massive teddy bear sitting on a lounge suite. Rather bizarre experience

15 mins walk to Takino Koji. To Sapporo station seems to take me longer coz meander around w luggage ie not straightfoward for me. My personal choice is to to book 1 nearer to Sapporo Station or Takino Koji. Nijo Market can give it a miss if you hv no time. Recep staff able to speak English is a great help and he is so helpful! If you plan go Mount Moiwa, prepare 200 yen each way for their local loop tram. They have chg machine only for 1k yen n driver very annoyed if u pull out 5k. Np if u hv suica

When one makes a booking (I used Expedia), the Edelhof needs to be more transparent about its fees. The daily parking fee (1,500 yen) and breakfast fee (3,000 yen) were clearly stated on the Expedia Web page, but there was no fee mentioned for the onsen / spa when I made my booking. Hence, I thought the onsen / spa was included in the room rate, as other hotels do. So imagine my surprise and disappointment when I was told at check-in that the onsen / spa costs 2,500 yen per day. I would have chosen another hotel had I known about the cost of the onsen / spa. Otherwise, the hotel is fine.

The room was comfortable and clean, and the staff excellent, but there were some small things missing. Only green tea, no coffee or European tea provided, which sounds small but makes a big difference to coffee drinkers! Also, the shower head was not adjustable while in the wall-mount, and the angle was terrible. As a tall person, it was shooting straight into my throat. It was also difficult to get a good pressure - fully on was much too hard, or just a mist. Finally, the windows were locked. I appreciate they need to prevent defenestration, but most hotels have some mechanism installed so you can at least crack the window a bit.

The hotel is just 2 blocks away from Esta/Bic Camera in Sapporo and also 2 blocks away from Odori Park where the famous TV Tower is located. Tanukikoji and Susukino are not far from there. Staffs are pleasant and hotel amenities are generally ok with a convenient store (Seicomart) nearby. Room is generally clean and could be more spacious and comfortable but my wife, my daughter and I managed. Would consider staying here again in the future.

The staffs were not friendly and we had to pay to use the facilities (spa) which is absurd. When booking this was not told to me. This is an good as false advertising when they say this is one of their facility available but later telling the guest that they have to pay to use it. The rooms were a nice size but the configuration can be better improve. Who place the closet in the middle of the room? To think about it, I had selected this hotel over another which was not far off. Am not too happy with this hotel stay.

Nice hotel about 10-minute walk from Sapporo JR station, close to shopping, restaurants, convenient stores, etc Good buffet breakfast in nice ambience dining areas (12th and 13th floors) Like most Japanese hotels, the Monterey chain has attention to details catering for almost anything. Somehow, this specific hotel only provided exactly one green tea bag per person during our stay & no coffee, nothing else which was unusual considered its price brackets

Very helpful, friendly and polite staff. Very clean room equipped with all necessary amenities. Good location. Shops, restaurants, tourist attractions at walking distance. I recommend this hotel for solo an group travelers.

3-4 blocks from Sapporo station Esta building side ao it was a convenient location. Easy check in and out. we didn’t eat at the hotel but it did have a Seico mart located next to it. Food and shopping surround the area. A few blocks from the clock tower and Odori park too.

Good hotel
The hotel is good and comfortable, very well equipped. The location is good as well. Unfortunately, the bathroom is smelly.
