Disappointing and overpriced
We were disappointed with the property and feel it was over priced for a number of reasons.
The entrance to the property is horrendous - a filthy staircase leading to an area full of stinky rubbish. The apartment itself is nice and spacious, but we complained immediately as we found so many things broken or wrong. There was a terrible smell in the kitchen (like animal urine) so I mopped the floor, to find the water in the bucket was filthy (the floor had clearly not been cleaned prior to our arrival, although the rest of the apartment seemed clean). The smell remained and was so horrible we had to eat out every night.
I had no reply to my message to the owner (sent via the Vrbo app) so I had to call on day 3, and he then sent someone to fix some of the broken items and replace the dining room chairs the same day.
When arriving on holiday, guests should not find anything broken or damaged and should NOT be cleaning! The apartment felt like it had been done on the cheap, and everything I touched was flimsy and felt like it was about to break. The kitchen was poorly equipped and there were only 4 hangers in the whole apartment and no chest of drawers, so we couldn't unpack and had to keep our clothes in our suitcases.
The street where the steps to the apartment are is on a double yellow line so it was a nightmare to unload / load, although there is a car park nearby.
Despite some items being fixed during our stay, the bad smell and broken items overshadowed the stay. On the last night, the police kept us awake shouting at the next door neighbour and threatening to break down the door. While that can't be helped, it says a lot about the area.
We definitely wouldn't stay there again.
