"Bay Resort Hoi An Great hotel, recently opened (mid-2023), with a excellent location overlooking the Thu Bon river and the old quarter of Hoi An on the opposite side. Short walk over the bridge to get the old quarter, just be prepared to cope with a limited pavement width and the traffic (which is typical across Vietnam to be honest). The hotel rooms were well equipped and the staff were amazing. Very helpful from check-in to check-out. Nice restaurant (we had lunch there and breakfasts) with a view across the river. There was also a good outdoor pool which we did not use. As I mentioned the hotel sits across the river from the old quarter and so it is an oasis of peace of quite with a wide embankment to walk along on this side of the river. At night you can enjoy the coloured lantern laden boats and the hotel organised a private boat for us which took us for 30 mins along the river (longer trips were available) during which we were given lanterns lit with candles to float in the river, before the boatman dropped us off on the market side of the river. The hotel also had free bikes to use – we did not, but many people seemed to. We did Hanoi, Hue, Hoi An and HCMC on our Vietnam itinerary and Hoi An and the Bay Resort hotel was the perfect place to pause the busy sightseeing and spend a relaxing day or two, while still getting to enjoy the busy old quarter of Hoi An. "

The rooms are immaculately clean and our view of the rice fields was awesome. The Legacy provides 5 star service but if I could rate it 100 stars, I would. This is the finest of the finest resorts."

"We stayed at the Grandvrio as part of a 4 day stay in the Danang area, with 2 days in Hoi An proper and 2 days here at the Grandvrio. In retrospect, given how relatively inexpensive it is to get from the beachfront Grandvrio into Hoi An, I would say I probably would opt to stay the entire time at the Grandvrio if we were to return. Put simply, as a beachfront resort, this property checks all boxes. The facilities are new and modern, with multiple dining options, a kids pool, and arguably the best, deepest, nicest main hotel pool I have experienced. Better than the pictures. Just beyond the pool, a strand of palms and hammocks leads to a lovely private beach. This is also where they serve the included breakfast (made-to order eggs, pastries, fresh fruit). Our 10 yr old son was very excited that they had a basketball court, and our daughter loved the playground. The staff here is wonderful and extremely attentive. We were welcomed with cocktails and cold towels at check-in, and the staff gathers at the front door to see you off at check-out. Would stay at this property again, no question."

"Needing to relax and be refreshed, we stayed at Koi Resort for 21 nights! The beauty and tranquillity were just what we needed. The breakfasts are great! Also appreciated were the good shopping advice and transportation between Koi Retreat and Hoi An Old Town (5 Km one way). Don’t bother with the free kayaks - the small space to use these is laughable. We had some problems with housekeeping but these were resolved when we spoke to Tracy. Highly recommended!"
