"We were very pleased with our stay at Ventus at Marina El Cid. It was quieter than Marina El Cid side of the property but we could access everything. The staff was kind and accommodating. By booking “platinum” through Expedia we had added things such as a butler. The weather was not great for beach time (high winds) and it isn’t a great beach area in general. That’s probably my only negative comment. If you are traveling for the beach in particular, I’d look in a different area closer to Cancun where the beach is more useable. We were content with the pools and other offerings at Ventus so our stay was still great. "

They made sure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The only slight downside was the food—it wasn’t our favorite, but it was okay. Despite that, we had a great experience and would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a welcoming and well-maintained hotel."

"This resort never disappoints us. The food is superb at every restaurant. The service is amazing, especially at the buffet for breakfast and lunch with Mardo and Archie. I highly recommend the resort. The only thing I did not like was the addition of the day beds by the pool area. It made it look messy, cluttered and less luxurious than what I remember without them. I would remove these. Similarily, the pool area has become very congested with loungers and the lounge pads need to be replaced. "

"I took my 6 year old twins there and they loved it. I loved how safe it felt, I traveled alone with my kids and I felt safe letting them run ahead to get something from the buffet, or to get a chair my the pool. I loved the food, I had tuna tartare, grilled shrimp and salmon everyday and it was amazing. The buffet was a very good meal option that we went to every breakfast and every one loved it. The kids loved the N.A. margaritas and if you tip they will bring them to you almost as soon as you set down your towel. The bad; it’s April and it was a gamble on the seaweed. The hotel did an amazing job dealing with the seaweed on the beach, but it was still in the ocean and not the best to swim in. So if the seaweed would ruin your vacation, I’d suggest a different location, but if you can deal with that one negative, this was an amazing place to stay with little kids. "
