Seattle Family Trip
Lovely home. Cleanliness was not an issue. This property is not an easy one to maintain given the items that make it a "home". The primary bedroom is awesome with exception to one can light which I never did figure out how to turn off, even with the help of my kids who have more of an understanding of how the master control worked.

Needs some TLC
Location is pretty. You can tell that someone once took a lot of pride in this home. However, that doesn’t seem to be the case now. Very dirty. Lack of basic supplies. There was only one spare roll of toilet paper in the entire home and one roll was close to needing replaced already when we arrived. Many examples of details being ignored such as cans of extremely expired food and the drawer labeled dish towels with only one crumbled up plastic grocery sack in it. Microwave not clean and had a strong food smell to it still. Basement is musty and feels moist. One bedroom in the basement has windows to the outside, but no curtains/blinds, so no privacy. Large bedroom upstairs is misleading in photos because it has 2 large glass doors. Again, lack of privacy. We wanted to love this home, but unfortunately, it was not a cozy stay. Would not stay here again.

The View, the View, the View!
We had a family of 5 adults and 1 dog and had plenty of room. Poulsbo and Baninbridge were both close for groceries/restaurants/bars/shopping/etc. Heather the property manager was great to work with! I had trouble getting in to the place. Rather than a combo dor lock like on most VRBO homes this had a realtors doorknob key holder with a combo lock. I could not get it open and had my son try. Called Heather who was going to send someone out but just as I hung up with her it came open. Only one key for all of us but it worked out. Yes the basement is odd and has a church basement retreat center kind of feel and smell but we spent most of our time in the main living room with the awesome view. Could definitely use some brighter more reflective numbers out on the road to find the driveway. Passed it twice before we found it. Fond memories of our holiday retreat!

Thanksgiving with a view
Gathering at some VRBO in the Seattle area for Thanksgiving has become a family tradition. Although the kitchen was a little awkward, it was, for the most part, useable. The dining area was tight for five people. With expansive windows, the views from the living room were breathtaking. On the down-side, some of the furniture was broken, the lower level was musky, closets and drawers were filled with junk. All in all, it was a pretty nice stay, though!

Bring a kayak and your love of spiders and enjoy!
We all enjoyed the home. It is tucked back off the road and right on the water. We brought our own kayaks which made the experience there twice as enjoyable. The kids had a blast looking for shells and crabs at low tide. We saw some seals and otters. The SEA Discovery Center 10 minutes away has all sorts of sea creatures they could touch which was awesome. Inside, the house was unique and spacious. It had a great view. The basement has a strong musty smell. Overall, it will remind you of your grandmother's house right before she had to move out because she just couldn't manage it all anymore. Our main complaint wouldn't be so much with the home as with the managers - Vacasa. It's obvious their cleaning standard is the bare minimum. Beds, surfaces and bathrooms were clean - but that's it. There are spiderwebs throughout the house - on the ceilings, baseboards and in every corner. The amount of dust and cobwebs, and spiders, points to a very long habit of never really going above the bare minimum for cleaning. I killed quite a few spiders - so many that it was obvious they didn't just all crawl in the house since the last cleaner - the person cleaning had to intentionally leave them there - you couldn't miss them. The whole house just felt dirty and those in our group who hate spiders didn't enjoy sharing the house with them. I reported this to Vacasa and they said they'd take care of it. So if you do stay and this house, you'll find out if they're true to their word or not.

Needed update and TLC
Great location with beautiful views, however the beach is short. Not much to walk through you'll be at another privately owned beach. Can't swim in that water either. We all brought our swimming gears. I agree with all other reviewer's comments: the entire house needed update and TLC. We made the best of our time there but would not book it again.

Lovely home in need of TLC
This is a gorgeous home in a lovely private setting. We appreciated the decor and comfortable beds. That said, the home is in need of a maintenance overhaul. An electrician needs to review the lighting systems which are either inadequately placed (switches difficult to locate) or inoperable (i.e. master bathroom). The kitchen design is awkward as it is difficult for guests to gather there to visit while cooking. There are four bedrooms but two are upstairs (the master which is nice, and one other bedroom which is not private), and two are downstairs (the lower level of this home is below grade and has a musty smell). Lastly, cleaning of the lower level was inadequate, the bathroom floor had not been thoroughly cleaned.

Lovely location, home needs some love
This house is right on the water with beautiful views and easy access to the Bainbridge ferry. It has a lot of potential, but needs an update. Several pieces of furniture were not functioning properly or showed significant wear, the walls are fairly banged up, there was a tile missing from the fireplace surround. With the late sunset and early sunrise in the PNW summer, blackout shades are almost a necessity and not present. Kitchen was appropriately stocked, had some nice knives for cooking. Kids had a blast playing near the shore and finding shells. We had a great time but would not stay here again.
