Enviably situated in an iconic cul-de-sac location right beside the famous Fremantle Markets, this gorgeous 2 bedroom 2 bathroom two-storey circa-1850s residence is more than 150 years old and has been tastefully renovated throughout, offering an eclectic mix of original charm and modern character for all involved.

Forming part of the "Warders' Cottages", this stunning terrace home is heritage-listed and is accessed via a gated front courtyard with a delightful entry verandah. Solid wooden floorboards, high ceilings and feature skirting are commonplace throughout, including to a spacious main bathroom downstairs, finished with marble bench tops and high end fixtures.

The upstairs activity area can easily be converted into a computer nook with a pleasant leafy aspect from its spectacular French window, right next to the spare second bedroom, as well as a sublime sophisticated master suite with a classic central fireplace, a stylish ensuite bathroom comprising of marble benchtops, a shower, toilet, its own fireplace. The stylish master has a door leading out to a covered full-width balcony deck with views to the street - your front-row ticket to Fremantle's vibrant nightlife.

Location: Our Terrace is located in the most vibrant part of Fremantle. Walk out side and the famous Fremantle markets are only metres away! You will be surrounded by cafes, restaurants and attractions. This is one of Australia's earliest remaining examples of terrace housing. The State heritage-listed terrace was built using convict labour more than 165 years ago to house prison warders employed at the Convict Establishment, known as the Fremantle Prison and located just around the corner near the football oval.41 minute train ride from Fremantle to Perth CBD. Lots of stops along the way to access beaches and wonderful shopping.

Activities: These are local icons and have formed a vital piece of Fremantle culture for decades and everything is practically on your doorstep and walking distance. The Round House, Fremantle Prison, various museums, Bathers Beach, Esplanade Park, Little Creatures, Hoyts Cinema, Capri Restaurant, and Fishing Boat Harbour to name just a few nearby walkable attractions. Its so easy to catch a boat to Rottnest Island for the day from the B-shed ferry terminal only a 5 minute walk away.

Great location
We arrived at the property with a code to access the key from the lock box. After numerous attempts and 2 phone calls to the property contact we were given a completely different code. That evening we went to shower and there was no hotwater. Gas bottle had run out and had to wait 45 minutes for water to heat up. The plug in the kitchen sink didn't work so that was annoying when try to wash dishes. The bathroom upstairs had hair in the corners of the shower recess. Apart from these issues the property was comfortable and a great location.

Our stay in Fremantle Landmark 1850's Home was special. Great location, newly renovated and very clean. Beds very comfy and loved the bathrooms. On market days to be so close to the Freo action was fun. Walk to restaurants, footy oval, all around Fremantle was easy. We did have a car so parking a little tricky on the busy days.We felt privileged to stay in a property so full of history.
