I would never rent at the Hyde again. To begin with, when we entered our unit on the 32nd floor, it was filthy. Obviously the cleaning staff is not too attentive. To make matters even worse, we were on the 32nd floor. Can you imagine waiting 30 minutes to get up to your apt. or 30 minutes to get down to the lobby. On occasion we had to resort to taking the stairs. The same issue arose every time we needed our car. We had to wait at least half an hour for the car jockeys. There is no self-parking. With respect to the beach, imagine waiting one hour to get a lounge chair if one is available! There were days when lounge chairs were not even available. What audacity to charge a “resort.fee” and not provide the services advertised. This building CANNOT accommodate the number of people it receives during peak season. It is a farce. Simply stand near the reception at the hotel for a short period of time and all one hears are complaints after complaints. I would never book a vacation stay at the Hyde again and will seek compensation from VRBO when I return home.
