Summary:
Welcome to Memory Mountain, where you can rent two of the most beautiful & unique homes in Western North Carolina! Tucked away on a private road in the blue ridge mountains you will find THE LAKESIDE CABIN and THE WATERFALL LODGE, both homes are just a few hundred feet apart from one another and PERFECT for families vacationing together or other large groups.

You will never want to leave once you arrive, with your own private pond, hot tubs, waterfall, mountain stream, hiking trails, and more!

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the entire property.

There is ample parking for 4-5+ cars.

A custom door code will be sent to you prior to checking in

The Neighborhood:
The closest grocery store is Mars Hill exit 11 (on US 19/ 23 / I 26), which you will pass if you need groceries before you get here. There is an Ingles there. We provide linens and towels, but no paper products are provided; however, there should be plenty of toilet paper to last you. We do not leave yesterday's soap or other personal items; please bring you own. Walmart is 15 miles away in Weaverville Exit 18. There is a Lowe's and many restaurants.

Other Things to Note:
WIFI is provided. **Please Note that because of the mountainous location WIFI can be spotty. We do NOT recommend counting on any sort of streaming or video / conference calls during your stay.

Important Notice for Guests During Winter Weather:
Please be aware that accessing this rental may be challenging during snow or ice conditions. Exercise caution and plan accordingly. Consider equipping your vehicle with appropriate winter tires and check local weather updates before your visit. Your safety is our priority, so take necessary precautions to navigate winter conditions. If you have any concerns or questions, feel free to reach out for assistance. Pets: *We are pleased to offer a dog friendly property for our guests but the property owners assume no liability for incidents involving dogs on the property.
Please let us know if you wish to bring your best-friend. There is a $125 per pet non-refundable fee (This is NOT automatically added, so please let us know so that we can add the fee for you). 2 Dogs max**
*Dogs are required to stay on leash at all times when not in the house or the fenced yard.
*Additional cleaning fees will be assessed for excessive cleaning related to dogs in the house and any damages will be charged to the guest.

Please be advised that we do not provide refunds due to inclement weather. It is essential to be aware of this policy when making reservations, particularly during periods of uncertain weather conditions. Please be advised that by confirming your booking, you are agreeing to the Rental Agreement Policy terms posted publicly on our company website. Should you have any questions, please feel to contact us prior to booking.

No smoking is allowed. Violators will be fined for in-room smoke damages. Smoking is only permitted outside of the property at least 10 feet away please.

EXTENUATING CIRCUMSTANCES HURRICANE POLICY: If a Mandatory Evacuation Order is issued by the Governor during the dates of your stay specifically for the county in which the property is located, the extenuating circumstances policy will be in effect, and we will refund any deposits or payments paid by the guest. We shall have no additional liability concerning the reservation. However, if a Mandatory Evacuation Order is NOT issued, then THE STANDARD CANCELLATION POLICY WILL REMAIN IN EFFECT SHOULD THE GUEST CHOOSE TO CANCEL THEIR RESERVATION. If inclement weather in any other part of the country or world during the dates of stay prohibits or alters the guest (or any individuals in the guest's group) from traveling to the property, a refund will not be issued, and we shall have no liability with respect to the reservation. During months when there is a potential for inclement weather, such as hurricane season, we strongly recommend guests purchase travel insurance.

We all had a wonderful time on the property. We enjoy everything. Everything was on time and our host was wonderful. Everyone enjoyed it that we are planning to come back to take another family trip There. I forgot about that.We had a second cabin.I realized that the second night that we was there, lol. So we just slept over there in a couple of the beds, and that was it, but overall, everything was wonderful. I recommend anyone that loves the mountains to go there and next time I will get the second cabin.

Both cabins were clean and ready to go when we got there. The host was very quick on responses and gave helpful information that was important to know during the stay. Cabins were spacious and had lots of open space for people to gather in. Outdoor space was great as well. Only a couple of things which could have been better. First, the cabins only have two or three showers in each. With a large group it would have been helpful to have a couple more bathrooms. Second, the hill to get up to the cabins really does require 4WD even without any ice!

Both cabins were exactly as they were described. The cabins were clean and had nice amenities. Unfortunately, there were several things that were broken or didn't work like one shower and sauna. The major issues with the stay was the check-in process. The door code didn't work for one of the cabins and had to spend 30+ minutes on the phone with the property manager before they figured out the correct code.

We had a large group (20 adults and 5 kids) and it was a great space for us. We stayed at Waterfall and Lakeside. Waterfall has better space for cooking, gathering, and bedrooms. Lakeside has a great pond for fishing and swimming and great views from an awesome porch. We loved the ping pong tables. We went hiking at Sam’s Gap and while the hiking wasn’t great (very woody not great views) but you’re outside and on the App Trail so it’s fun! We ate at Taco Fiesta II and it was good. The driveway was pretty rough the first time until we learned to have better speed as you start up and maintain the speed and you’ll be fine.

Stayed here for a long weekend with a big group of friends. Plenty of room and awesome outdoor/deck space! About a 30 minute drive into Asheville, and the road is gravel and pretty steep getting to the houses. Overall, awesome cabins and perfect getaway for a large group of family or friends.
