5/5 Excellent

This place is located in what I would consider Heaven. Quite, trees, water sounds where ever you go. A little out of the way, but so worth you effort. Lots to Temples and Shrines. The owners gave us a ride to the bus station.

5/5 Excellent

Above all, the staff was exceptionally welcoming and considerate. From the way they checked us in- in the dining room over tea and sweets to the goodbye present.they served us with gave as if we were family. The food was traditional and their Kaiser Li very unfamiliar in an exquisite way that made us feel awkward. No matter, they smiled and served and demonstrated as if we were foreign ambassadors. And then the final touch: because it was raining they drove us to the bus station and gifted us their umbrella. The room was lovely with a view of the mountain range and the outdoor Onsen surrounded by a small fragrant garden. The furniture is timeless yet seems 1970s and maybe in need of a refresher, but that is just a matter of taste. The overall takeaway is the warm bath of kindness and hospitality in this mountain ryokan.-Onsen.
