Afternoon tea was an excellent experience. Since covid this is the 1st place that did housekeeping which really made us feel we were on a holiday. "

"An incredible find! Full of character, historic building - you absolutely have to experience the lifts. Comfortable beds and warm rooms, best night's sleep ever. Hot shower with great pressure. Friendly staff and nothing too much trouble. Ample free parking in grounds of hotel. Red squirrels in the gardens.. I've already booked my next stay."

"I have wanted to stay here for some time. Finally got to do a pre Christmas stay. Our room was amazing, you get a real feel of the history of the building. A lovely warm welcome, with a welcome letter, giving some history of the hotel. Dinner was so good, a reasonable priced wine list and first class food. Breakfast which was included, so rare these days, and was very good. Really loved our stay and it will now be a place to return to, again and again. Would be a wonderful place for a wedding, family reunion, or any special occasion. Many thanks to the owner and wonderful staff for such a lovely stay."

I never sleep through the night, but the time we were here - I slept straight through every night!! Amazing! Staff were brilliant and helpful and your restaurant staff treated us like family.
