Nice and petience owner, small and neat hostel. We are lucky, just 2 of us inside 4bed female dorm for 2 nights. the tatami style semi double room is bit small for us. Clean environment, free shamppo and face wash, free use of washer and dryer 24 hours no time limited

The location of the hostel is a bit off from the centre, but if you're coming from the harbour it's a 20-min walk, and a 15-min bus ride to the Hakata bus terminal. The hostel is cute and it's really nice that they have a cat shelter, so by staying there, you are helping the charity in saving stray cats. The hostel is very small though, and there is very little space in the room to store your bags, and the only place to store your bags if you arrive before check-in or leave late, is outside on the porch, chained to the handrail, so this is not great if you wanted to avoid having to carry your computer or other valuables with you around town. The bathroom and toilets were very clean, and it's free to use the washing machine, so that's a huge plus. The hostel has several rules though, like they will turn the light in the room on and off at a certain hour etc, and if you arrive before check in and just want to use the toilet e.g., they might not let you in. There is also no big common area apart from one table, and you can't cook food there e.g., as there is no kitchen. I arrived early and needed to use the toilet, and was let in by the cleaning staff and could use the toilet, but then got hushed out by the owner, so my first impression of the hostel was that I didn't really feel welcome there and it felt unnecessarily uptight. You can't check in after 22h either, so if you know you'll arrive late or that you might be delayed, don't stay here, because you might not get let in.

The hostel is a bit small but very clean and cosy. The owner is very thoughtful and everything you need to use is provided for. Since it's also a non-profit cat shelter, I definitely recommend it to all animal lovers!
