"GOOD: - location in central Foix allows foot access to just about everything. - great staff - overall a nice, simple hotel. BAD: - cafe / bar / restaurant closed most days. - Breakfast is expensive for the minimal and only ‘okay’ food served. - rooms facing street can suffer from noise (shouting, vomiting, crying) as bars close - rooms get hot. Can only cool with open windows, and given street noise…"

"This is a really lovely place to stay. We stayed for two nights and had a really spacious room and large bathroom. We ate breakfast and dinner on both days and the food, service and ambience is outstanding. Lovely home cooked food of an extremely high standard with the loveliest staff. There is a beautiful garden to sit and read in. Foix is a few minutes drive away and well worth a visit (amazing castle and nice restaurants, market etc). We also did the underground river tour and that is also very enjoyable. Although there isn't parking at the hotel itself there is ample, safe parking very nearby so that wasn't an issue. Overall this felt like staying in a friend's home. Delightful. "
