We stayed at this hotel on Saturday 13th April 2024. Firstly, there was an extremely loud birthday party going on at the hotel and because it’s only a small hotel the noise doesn’t have to travel very far to reach the rooms. It kept us awake until well after midnight, and when you have a 6 year old getting up early the next day that was not good at all. Secondly, the waste water from the shower wasn’t getting away so the shower base was filling up, this wouldn’t have been much of a problem if it were not for the leak coming out of the shower base and into the bathroom floor. The bathroom sink was also blocked. We couldn’t be moved to another room because the hotel was full, I really can’t understand why…. Then, when we complained about the horrible experience, they just ignore all correspondence and do not respond. In all, I think it is possibly the worst hotel in Scotland. Do NOT book!

The day before we arrived I phoned Reception as my wife would need gluten free bread for breakfast because of her diet, yes kitchen staff will be told. Friday morning at breakfast no gluten free bread no one new about it, the girl then went to the Co-op and got gluten free bread, Saturday morning no gluten free bread it had gone so the girl went and got gluten free rolls yes from the Co-op so not a nice start to both days as we were attending a family Funeral
