- Disliked: Staff & service, amenities
signing in - perfunctory - no pleasantries - was asked if a map was required. very small unit at the back - even though booked and paid for about five months previously. Toilet seat faulty - if I was a big person there was NO way I could sit on the toilet as hemed in by wall and wash cabinet - wall heater had been replaced - but previous smaller heater space had not been painted over. Extremely clean - the small room just glowed cleaness - bed - large and comfortable - sadly unit backed on to what we assume were student flats - being O week the party next door on the first night was awful - the next night was less so. We could park our car close to the unit but it was tight getting in and out.Dangerous to a point - having to exit on a side road - cars were not slow in driving down this very small lane. I wouldn't want to stay in the "wee" room again - if we were placed in a front room - maybe - apart from signing in there was no sign of anybody actual people who were running the motel - free ODT newspaper was available for uplifting from reception which was appreciated . In my working career as a sales rep I spent most my life - so it seemed at the time - living in motel rooms- I've actually stayed in far worse places - sadly I've also stayed in better - maybe because we only lived two or so hours away there was no need to impress us as visitors - in this case we weren't disappointed.
