"Over a year ago, we started looking for a place with natural beauty and within the band of totality during the April 8th Solar Eclipse. We also needed someplace affordable and although we zeroed in on Texas, it seemed that many places didn't meet our requirements. Holly Lake Ranch met all our needs and more. What a gorgeous and restful setting and a completely comfortable and clean home. The huge windows that look out into the trees and the path leading to the lake was my favorite thing and it's captivating. My daughter, son-in-law and son came for the eclipse and we enjoyed playing games, laughing, enjoying a great meal at "A taste of Italy" and then the eclipse and a BBQ on the deck. (The BBQ looked brand new!) A rainstorm moved in that night and the lightning was impressive through the picture windows. The kids left the next day but we stayed on, listening to the rain, reading in perfect comfort and stepping out for a meal in the evenings. So relaxing! We really hated to say goodbye to this beautiful home and it's wonderful surroundings."

"We had a great time at the lake house. The views are beautiful. We enjoyed fishing and caught fish off both docks. The jacuzzi was relaxing, and we had fun competitions in the game room too. The property is clean, spacious and in a good location. There is a good cafe and catfish restaurant a few minutes from the place, a state park, and several towns with more food/stores within a short drive too. The hosts were very responsive, had a clear instruction manual for property, and great hospitality. Overall, this is a great place for couples or bigger families to stay."

"We really did enjoy our stay. One bed was too small for two adults but other than that all beds were comfortable. The large kitchen was fantastic for our family reunion potluck prep. I gave a four for cleanliness because cobwebs held dead flies. This is common in high ceiling homes. Otherwise the home was clean. The putting green was dirty and bumpy. but loved the outdoor patios. It is a Beautiful home"

"We enjoyed a peaceful retreat in Kathy’s beautifully renovated property. The space was clean and provided all the amenities our family needed. Kathy’s communications were always prompt and I really enjoyed chatting with both her and Connie in person; we were welcomed like friends. I can’t say enough good things about our experience!"

"The property was perfect for my Spring Break fishing trip with my two grandsons. There was covered parking for my boat and the dock was a plus for us to come in off the lake for lunch each day. The Xbox was also a big hit for the boys each day while i prepared our dinner. I will definitely stay here again."
