A horrible hostel run by dishonest people
I reserved a room for ten nights through Expedia.com. When I arrived, I was told that the website made a mistake and the room that I had reserved was not available, and they had another room available for only one night but at a higher price; then they told me to cancel my reservation with the Expedia. Since they could not provide the service that I had ordered, I thought it would be a simple case that they would give me a full refund. Next morning, with an Expedia agent on the line, the hotel staff promised me and Expedia agent he would give authorization to issue a full refund after having talked with hotel owner. But they have failed to keep their promise, and I have to dispute the charge through by credit card company. I really don't think you can trust these people – think about someone cannot provide the service but yet wants to keep your money, and therefore do not recommend anyone to stay at this hostel.

the room was comfortable considering the price and the fact that it's a hostel/backpackers. I was placed in a room with the dryer though and I have no privacy or complete security with my things since the staff use it in the morning. the common bathroom is filthy with molds on the wall and cockroaches. the place is noisy. the office is just outside my door and Wale Street and Long Street are always busy. I didn't mind the noise because of the great accessibility of the location. Lastly they had no information on my booking. They said they were not informed and it took an hour before they found the email from Expedia. they asked me to give them proof of payment. The next day another guest had the same problem. So if you're on a budget and you don't mind the noise and some inconveniences this hostel is still ok. make sure though that you confirm with the hostel even if you had already booked and paid online.

Chambre et literie très sale et inconfortable. 1 seul drap déchiré sale déjà utilisé comme la couette sale .salle de bain sale et gros cafards terrasse et accueil bordélique 1 seule table pour tout l'établissement les chaises font pitié trouées et pas une les mêmes. Le réceptionniste était embarrassé de nous demander 180 ZAR de plus sur la réservation déjà réglée.Le patron antipathique malhonnête irrespectueux . Bref un seul mot pour résumer A EVITER
