Welcome to The Forest Chalet!

Bring your family and friends to enjoy all that the Poconos have to offer in our 2,600+ square foot newly renovated 4 bedroom 3 bathroom home plus additional sleeping spaces to accommodate you and all your guests.

Adventure through the Pocono Mountains, hiking trails, natural landmarks, and attractions. Then come home and relax in our hot tub, prepare dinner in our fully stocked kitchen with multiple indoor and outdoor sitting areas, warm up in front of our gas fireplace, end the night in our game room, or watch a movie on our new 85 inch TV and make yourself a tub of fresh popcorn with our vintage popcorn machine.

The home is situated in the private community of Towamensing Trails, which offers a 194 acre lake with a private sandy beach, pool (seasonal), volleyball, basketball & tennis courts, playground, clubhouse, snack bar & arcade.

The home itself has 3 levels of living with comfortable space for up to 10 guests.


Main Level:
The main level of the cabin has a Kitchen with breakfast counter, Dining Room with a table to seat 10 guests, Living Room, Laundry Room.

Bedroom 1 / Master : King Bed with en suite full Bathroom
This bathroom has two access points. 1 from the master suite and 1 from the kitchen
Access to a large wraparound deck

Top Level:
The top level of the chalet features a loft with a large desk to get some last-minute work done or answer a quick email. You can also disconnect and read a book in our reading nook. The loft also holds a queen sized murphy bed for additional sleeping space.

Lower Level: The entertainer’s dream.
Relax and watch a movie with our brand new 85-inch tv or play arcade games.

Please note the community amenities (Lake with beach access, paddle board rentals, pool, club house are open from Memorial Day to Labor Day only). The community allows only 8 passes per home rental and the passes are required for usage. Kids aged 5 and under do not require a pass. The administrative fee listed includes the community rental package, up to 5 vehicle passes and 8 amenity badges.

Fourth of July at the Lake

Our group had an amazing stay over the holiday weekend. The home was absolutely beautiful, full of amenities for all ages and super clean. The host was extremely accessible and willing to help in any way. The community had so much to offer for all of us. We can't wait to schedule our next stay.

Beautiful home with nice ammentities

We planned this trip to get are grown kids together. Each family member that entered smiled and said, “This is nice!” Great hot tub, fire pit and movie room. Also enjoyed the pool, lake and nearby walking trails. Shades of death sounds like a bad/difficult trail but it was actually my favorite. Host is very responsive. Highly recommended place to stay.

Mountain getaway

Beautiful setting, nice lake with kayak rentals and a nice beach area for the kids and a community pool too. If you rent a kayak, paddle board or pedal boat, make sure you have 20’s, that don’t accept bills over that or credit cards.

Wonderful weekend trip

I did a short weekend getaway with family. We enjoyed the immaculate cleanliness of the house, many amenities and proactive communication and suggestions from the owner. I recommend the rental and look forward to booking again.

Excellent Experience

We had a great time at the Forest Chalet and are so grateful to have had our reservation accepted on such short notice. The house is immaculate, comfortable beds, and a super fun game room. We really loved our stay and would definitely go back again. The only slight issue was that it's listed as a five bedroom, though the Murphy bed upstairs is in a loft setting. Just good to know for future guests, and of course, we read the description quickly because we were in a crunch to book. Everything worked out very well in the end!!

Have booked this place a number of years now. Communication with owners was great. Check-in process was easy, place was cleaned and ready. We love the location. Small snafu with hot tub, but owners communicated and adjusted. We would go back and highly recommended!

Perfect get away

We booked Forest Chalet for my daughter’s 22nd Birthday. There were 10 of us and our dog ( myself, my husband and 8 22 year olds) The house was perfect! More than enough room. The girls loved the lower level with all the games. They even popped popcorn. We were 25 minutes from blue mountain, which that’s where they went tubing. Communication was great with Michele. It was a perfect weekend. This house had everything you needed from stocked toilet paper, spices ,, even marshmallows for the fire pit.My daughter and her friends had a great weekend and thank you again Michele & Andy for being a fantastic host

Fun Holiday Weekend

The Forest Chalet was wonderful! We were there to celebrate the holidays with two families including four children 12, 9, 7, 4. The kids loved the basement game room and massive tv. The house had everything we needed and then some, it was one of the most well appointed houses we have rented. This may be a new tradition in the making at the Forest Chalet. Andy was also very quick to reply and helpful. Thanks for helping in making our weekend great!

Great Family stay

Spent the weekend here with our 3 kids 9,6,2, and our in laws. The kids loved the lower level that featured arcade games, a HUGE TV for movie nights and their favorite shows. The lower level also could access outside where we spent most of our time playing games and in the hot tub. The home was very well kept and even had a starter stock of paper towels,tp,coffee and more. Hawk Falls was a 5 minute drive and a pizza shop and dollar general were 3 minutes away. Very convenient location and the owners were great communicating what to expect!

Perfect in the Poconos

This house was wonderful for our stay. My wife and I, along with our 2 daughters, their husbands and our three grandchildren (ages 16, 10, and 6) stayed for 9 days in late July and early August of 2024. The hosts, Michele and Andy, were wonderful and very attentive to our questions. They were so easy to work with and helpful in so many ways. The house fit our needs perfectly.!! It is exactly as described and is well appointed. The community has a clubhouse with a large pool, a very nice beach and a lake where you can rent kayaks or paddle boats. It is close to Lehighton and Jim Thorpe with access to river rafting and biking along the Lehigh river. We had a great time on our family vacation, and would highly recommend this home.

Family Week in the Forest Chalet

Great family week in the Poconos. This property delivered everything that we needed to enjoy a week of family fun. Easy access to beach, pool, craft breweries, and of course the beautiful city of Jim Thorpe. Andy was easy to work with and there were no surprises. Three families shared the vacation home, and each family had a whole floor to themselves. The outside of this property is a beautiful as the inside. Thanks Andy!

Jim Thorpe Running Festival

Stayed at the property while participating in the Jim Thorpe Running festival (April 28). Originally rented from the previous owners, but new owners Michele and Andy helped with the transition after they took over ownership of the property. They honored our agreement and made the switch seamless! Appreciated all their help. We really enjoyed the stay. Made good use of the porch with the grill and had lots of fun with the Golden Tee game in the basement. Also a nice (really!) big screen TV in the basement. Place was very clean, nice kitchen with everything we needed. Also sounds like the new owners are planning for even more fun amenities going forward (ex: fire pit). Would definitely recommend and will look into renting again if I participate in the Jim Thorpe Running Festival in the future.

The Grand Chalet

This is the second year our family has stayed at this spacious home. We love the bedrooms being spread out in each floor, it gives everyone their own space. The game room really wins over the kids for sure! The small hill in the back yard is great for sledding and the hot tub is perfect for when the kids go to bed! The owner is very attentive and we will definitely be returning for a third year next winter!
