We booked this hotel because we are in town to visit a dying family member and it was close to the hotel. From the moment we arrived, the experience was unpleasant to say the least. The manager on duty, Bob, was rude during the whole check in process. During which, I had to sign paperwork stating this was a non smoking facility. Once we got our keys, we went to go to the room and as soon as I opened the door to the stairwell, the whole building smelled like cigarettes. Thinking nothing of it we moved walked to the room. Upon opening our room door, the cigarette smell got even stronger and was unbearable. I began to look around the room and there were visible stains all over EVERYTHING. the curtains, the carpet, the lampshades , even the BEDDING was disgusting!!! The bathroom was covered in dried toothpaste and dirt in the shower and in the counter. When I went back to the front desk and began to express my concerns, the manager got very rude and refused to try and help mediate the situation. He KEPT MY MONEY FOR A WHOLE NIGHT because I “messed up the bed” by moving the blankets to expose the nasty stains they were trying to hide! This place is an absolute DISGUSTING excuse of a hotel and the people that run it should be ashamed of the way they take care of the property and treat customers. I’m having to dispute this with my bank to recoup money from walking in the door of this place for less than 5 minutes. AVOID AVOID AVOID.
