Hard to enter the room

This is just a condo that the owner rents to someone. So you have to call to the owner first. When I arrived at this condo, nobody knew that I came and stayed for awhile. If you don't have a phone, it's hard to enter the room that you booked because the owner only accepts the phone call.

Close to Our appts.

It was difficult to locate 14 York St. It is tucked away. Saw 18 and 16 but not14. Took some looking. Designated parking was taken twice leading us to call Jon and circle the parking two times leading to an extra hour added to an already long day.

Unsafe and dangerous

The apartment is in a prime location and is comfortable for a week long stay. However if you value your privacy, go elsewhere. Twice during our stay, whilst in the apartment, our door was opened by estate agents with keys and followed by prospective buyers. This was unacceptable and made us very uncomfortable. We could have been doing anything!!!!!!!!!!!! Complained on the first occasion but it still happened again. Deedless to say, the agents were sent packing.

Excellent location, beautiful condo

Excellent location (CN Tower and Union station 5mins away, grocery store right across the street) Very nice and comfortable condo, exactly like on the website picture. Beautiful partial view of the lake. Self check-in was easy and smooth, and communication with the owner quick and efficient. Would definitely recommend!

Not a hotel ....somebodies apartment!

I was surprised by this booking. I fully assumed a hotel room with hotel facilities was being booked in Expedia. But upon arrival I ended up at a condo tower in downtown Toronto. This was a very strange experience. No checking in our out. No pleasurable lobby to hang out in. I received a cryptic email upon landing in Toronto from somebody I didn't know telling me "I shouldn't have a problem getting into the room but if I did to say that I was visiting "Jon". I was also told the door to the condo wouldn't be locked and to walk straight in and id find the key in the kitchen utensil drawer. I didn't know if this was a set up or if I was going to be lynched upon entry to the room. Quite stressful. The room itself was pretty nice and clean... but bathroom sink was dirty, towel rack was and still is hanging off the wall. No shampoo (as you get in hotels), last residents dishes washed and sitting in the drain pan on the sink. No instructions on WIFI... had to email my cryptic friend for those details... got back to me many hours later. I was there on business for 24hrs... this was not a business orientated facility. If I had known that this was a persons condo...this review would be very different...and it might be an excellent review... but I wanted a hotel room, with hotel facilities. I was afraid to ask the lobby security anything in case they realized I wasn't a resident but a transient person who was only floating around for a few days.

Toronto luxury accomodation

Fabulous apartment with views over lake Ontario. Location excellent for trains ,shopping etc. The apartment was spotless and really comfortable ,just a shame we couldn't stay any longer. Small downside which may be an issue for Hotels .com, suite number needs to be communicated to clients a lot sooner to avoid delay at security in the apartment block.

Schönes Appartment in guter Lage

Trotz E-Mail-Verkehr erhielten wir keine Information über die Stellplatznummer für den PKW. Trotz Zusage war der Vermieter nicht anwesend. Trotz Buchung für drei Personen war nur ein Badetuch vorhanden und es gab keine Bettwäsche für das Schlafsofa. Die von früheren Gästen hoch gelobte Aussicht ist mittlerweile nur noch beschränkt vorhanden, da ein Hochhaus vor den Wohnkomplex gebaut wurde.

Toronto Stay Condo

First off this is not a hotel, it is a condo building with lots of young (early/mid 20's) residents. It is self service check in, there is security in the lobby but they are not equipped to assist you with check in. Movement in the mornings and afternoons can be busy in the lobby and elevator areas due to the coming and goings of the other residents. The room was clean and modern and even an extended stay would be comfortable. The proximity to public transportation, water front and restaurants is great. We were told that we would be greeted upon arrival but this was done via email. To avoid any confusion the buildings are called the ICE 1 (14 York) & 2 (12 York) we had family staying in building #2 our confirmation email did not do a very good job of explaining this detail so we thought we were staying in the same building, the person staying in the same room number as ours in building #2 was not happy when they knocked at the door.

Belles vacances en famille

J'aurais aisément donné un 5/5 si ça n'avait pas été de notre arrivée cahoteuse. Il ne s'agit pas d'un hôtel et ça nous l'ignorions. Nous n'avions donc ni le nom du propriétaire, ni de numéro pour le rejoindre ni de numéro d'appartement. Il s'agit d'un édifice de résidences et l'agent de sécurité ne pouvait rien faire pour nous. En communiquant avec Hotels.com un conseiller a finalement réussi à nous trouver le propriétaire et à lui parler pour ensuite nous donner les indications. Suite à ce petit accroc, nous avons trouvé un studio pouvant aisément coucher 4 personnes avec toutes les fonctionnalités nécessaires. Il y avait une laveuse et une sécheuse et la propreté était impeccable. L'appartement est idéalement situé à 5 minutes du Rogers center, du Air Canada centre et de la tour du CN. Il y a également une station de métro à 5 minutes à pieds. Nous avons choisi de nous stationner dans un parking public presqu'en face de l'appartement à 20$ par jour. Nous n'avons absolument rien de négatif à dire mais l'artivée aurait dû être mieux planifiée.

Perfect!

The room was very nice, loved the stay, absolutely perfect area to stay in, especially when going to a conceert, walking distance to pretty much everything we needed. Checked was a little confusing at first but once we got the hang of it it was all good. I would definitely stay here again.

Nice stay but missing information and parking

Not enough informations was send before our stay: where's the parking, what are we doing once we arrived, we're the pool and top terrace ? The proprio was answering all this by phone but I think it should be transfered before our stay. Also, the wifi was not working and we had to pay extra parking outside the place. Nice neighbourhood and clean place.

Luxury condo suite

beautiful view of downtown Toronto, Ontario overlooking the harbor. Lots of great bars and restaurants and walking distance to all major sports venues. Convenient shopping.

Overall decent place to stay. It was close to where I wanted to go. It did have a really nice view. Only bad thing I can think of is parking. Personally if I am staying in Town I would expect parking to be included.

Enjoyable, Close to Union Station and ACC

was a great condo once we gained access to it, first time renting a condo and was unaware had to contact the owner to get room info and keys. would be good in future to provide a number to contact the owner upon arrival to the condo building. Luckily people always coming and going so you can get access to the actual building. The room(s) itself was everything we needed. Everything was within walking distance and right by ACC, grocery store and LCBO. We enjoyed our stay
