Very nice hotel, staff were very pleasant, room was of a good size. Fantastic views over the city. Very nice breakfast restaurant, including a lounge offering free food and drink. Definitely recommended.

5-star treatment
The New Otani Tokyo Zen House is truly a great experience. They just received their 5th star and they clearly earned it. The check-in is so personal and the lounge is just perfect. Fine wine and sake, beautiful tea, and great snacks all day long, not just at breakfast and happy hour. The rooms look great and the bathrooms are quite spacious.

Excellent rooms, but then they should be for the price. More than 4 times the price of similar sized rooms at Shinjuku washington. However, where this hotel falls down is with its restaurants. There are several on site, but almost all serve the same mediocre menu, and almost all are only open until 2pm for lunch and 9pm for dinner. So if you're staying here for work don't expect to eat at the hotel after a long day. Not that the food is worth eating anyway. Really a 5 star hotel like this should have much better restaurants.

Stayed on the Zen tower club lounge floor. Nice big rooms, good food, clean and responsive staffs. The daily room charge included 3 meals and 3 snacks at the club lounge. Food was good but would have been nice to change it up and offer more varieties. Staff was courteous but I find it intimidating and uncomfortable to have a team of 6-8 staffs standing at the entry to the lounge greeting you as you walked in. They should have a back office to congregate and only 2-3 staffs as greeters. I was then surprised to find the same crew who were courteous during my 4-nts stay, to have their backs to me and did not even turn around to say goodbye. I was disappointed because earlier that day, I saw a Japanese couple leaving and everyone was lined up thanking and bowing to show the Japanese hospitality. I just felt like the courtesy wasn’t genuine to begin with.

The Staff here was so polite, friendly and helpful. I never felt so valued as a customer - ever. Somehow we got the Executive checkin, which was amazing. You have an exclusive lounge on the 11th floor where you do check in and check out (they seat you at a table and process everything while you sip on champagne, tea, coffee, snacks, etc.) They also have several snack/tea times per day with quality food. We stayed before & after a cruise. The Deluxe Room was a good size, the Standard room was smallish, but I think typical for Tokyo. Both rooms were super quiet even though it was busy. The garden and waterfall are beautiful. The 2 restaurants we went to for dinner were shockingly expensive, so check pricing carefully. We bought breakfast with the room and it was well worth it. Choose the main lobby (Satsuki) as their selection seemed better than the other two breakfast buffets you get to choose from. But all three are good. Shower pressure and temp were outstanding. It is close to a few subway stations (5-10 minute walk). Same for a long block of restaurants and the hotel itself has a ridiculous amount of restaurants (again watch the prices). But the service from the staff blew me away. They did everything possible to make us comfortable and ease our travel.

The club lounge was lovely to visit before or after a day out. Impeccable service. The deluxe room was spacious, the bed so comfortable and huge! The room had all the accompaniments of a 5 star hotel. Location was perfect. Great district with great restaurants around the corner, not too busy but very lively and very easy to get to train lines.

I stayed in New Otani both garden and main tower several times before but never had an opportunity to stay in the executive house zen. They assigned two floors of the main building (I think it was 11 & 12 FL but I don't remember correctly) for the executive zen and they have their own front desk, lounge, and club house exclusively available to the zen quests. You can have meal and drinks unlimited during their business hour at the lounge and it's really a good deal when you think about how much you spend for just drinks at any bars in Tokyo. Also I really liked their breakfast selection and drinks and also it's such a good deal as you would spend $30-$40 per person if you had an in room dining breakfast. I also loved my room so much and all the staff went above and beyond to make sure all my needs were met. One thing I really liked about the room was that they had this smart phone that I could use freely during my stay so I could make free phone calls and use data service, and didn't have to get frustrated with my T-Mobile data service which were so slow or didn't work at all in Japan. Overall, it was such a great experience and such a good deal which was about $400 per night. I'd definitely love to go back when I visit Tokyo next time and highly recommend anyone who's planning to visit Tokyo. Please note that the rooms in garden tower are not renovated and are very very old and also services are not good. Main tower rooms are ok but it's no comparison to the executive ho

The New Orani Hotel featured in the JamesBond movie “Live and Let Die” and is truly excellent. The Executive House ZEN floors add another level of luxury and peace. Great views (even of Mt. Fuji) from the lounge, excellent food and drink all day, and delightful service.

Location is great, easy to commute around. Surprisingly at the mall in front of the hotel there’s a line of Sakura trees. The Japanese garden is also very beautiful to drop by.

Stayed in the Executive House Zen, a concept hotel within the larger hotel, and it was lovely. Our suite had a calming view of the Japanese garden, plus a comfortable bed, soft pajamas, and the fluffiest towels! The hotel complex has shopping, restaurants, and bars, so it’s not a quaint like-a-local experience, but fun for a night of luxury.

Wow, what a treat it was to stay at this hotel. Everything was excellent. The staff members were extremely courteous, and helpful. Also, our room was meticulously clean, and very comfortable. This hotel offers executive lounge, where they serve food and drink such as lunch, afternoon tea, and late night drink & chocolate. You can enjoy relaxing there admiring the view of Tokyo and Mt. Fuji. Definitely a first-class hotel!
