The staff did not give us breakfast, saying it was not included. I showed the hotel details “breakfast included” but he said no. There are a lot of mosquitoes in the perking area. Luckily it wasn't in the room. The road leading out of the hotel is really narrow, making it difficult for large vehicles.

La cordialità, la disponibilità e la gentilezza sono gli ingredienti fondamentali che caratterizzano Carlo e la sua struttura. Oltre ad averci consigliato mete, tragitti e trasporti più consoni alle nostre esigenze, ha saputo magistralmente soddisfare anche richieste un po’ particolari mettendosi a disposizione ove non era tenuto a farlo e questo lo abbiamo apprezzato davvero molto tanto che non volevamo andar più via! Highly recommend, Beautiful and Comfortable

Wonderful, cozy home with amazing roof deck and excellent service. The owners/staff were very accommodating, friendly and helpful. The location is lovely... nice little town, walkable (long but nice) to Sorrento and a perfect home base for a visit to Capri and the Amalfi Coast. We wanted to move in and stay for months, it's really charming!

Our stay at La Pennichella Sorrentina Relaisccwas perfect! Carlo is a great Host; really helpful with instructions on how to move around using the Train to Sorrento and also helping us with finding a 5:00am Taxi to leave. Be sure to hop-off at META Train Station; the hotel is only a 10 minute walk and it is very safe and there are many Restaurants. Be sure to go Annare’ ! Best food really close to Pennichella.

Perfect place to stay if you want to visit Sorrento. Only few minutes walk to the train or the bus that takes you to Sorrento. The host is really nice and gave us good recommendations of places to eat or to do in Meta.

Stunning views.

We had an amazing time in Meta. The room was huge with high ceilings and a beautifully decorated. The views out of the juliette balcony were incredible. A wonder to wake up to. The views from the terrace even better. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. Advising us to visit a food festival in Meta Harbour which was one of the highlights of our trip. Delicious and fresh pastries with coffee were very nice although I normally prefer a protein heavy breakfast with eggs, but my partner enjoyed this. Very easy to get the train to sorrento. Overall 10/10.

Posizione strategica.

Ottima sistemazione per molte escursioni nella zona ( Pompei- Sorrento- Amalfi - Positano ecc. Sicuramente molto disponibile il proprietario sig.Carlo e la segretaria sig.na Gaia. Camera molto ampia e confortevole.

Supermysigt hotell!

Ett supermysigt hotell med fantastiskt service. Alla är trevliga och tillmötesgående. Vi var oroliga över hotellets läge, men det visade sig vara riktigt bra! Nära den enda sandstranden i ett mysigt område. Med närhet till goda restauranger. Skulle definitivt kunna återvända hit!

I bagni hanno tutti un set comprensivo di sapone e doccia-shampoo,un set di asciugamani,per la colazione qualora all’arrivo ci avesse segnalato la necessità di avere una colazione per celiaci avremmo provveduto!

Lovely b&b in Meta

Clean and tidy accommodation with very friendly and helpful staff. Very well located for the train station for trips to Sorrento and Naples and only a 10 minute walk to a lovely beach. Perfect location if you are planning to visit the sites of the Amalfi coast, Pompei and Vesuvius and want to avoid the busyness of Sorrento

Great place in the old town of Meta.

We Really enjoyed our time here. Staff were fantastic and helpful. 10 min walk to lovely beach and not overrun with tourists.!! 10 mins to train station, if you wish to go to Sorrento or take the bus at the corner..Or walk there on the coastal route. Local restaurants and pizzeria / bakery close by.

Quirky but Good

Pleasant, quiet hotel reasonably close to train station which makes it good as a centre point. Somewhat quirky in some respects. We were in a ground floor room opening straight into the garden area which served as the dining room for breakfast. Super roof leisure area with views all around Meta and the bay area. The room was clean and attended to daily. You will need European adapters for UK plus. In our room we needed older, thinner adapters too. It would have been much more convenient and enjoyable if tea making equipment was provided - e.g. Kettle and crockery. The two men running the place are exceptionally pleasant and helpful. 10 minutes walk from the sea. 10 minutes to the station leading to Naples Sorrento Pompeii.. 10 minutes to bus stop. Artisan baker 3 minutes away. Pizzeria 4 minutes away. Supermarket 5. Tavernetta Cinquantotto 10 minutes - good food

Nice B&B!

I really enjoyed my stay at La Pennichella Sorrentina. It is a beautiful charming old bed and breakfast very close to the beach, store and public transportation. If you want an authentic non-touristy stay close to Sorrento...I recommend staying here in Meta which is a small beach town. Lastly, the owner and staff are great hosts and very friendly. I will be staying here again.

Charming hotel, pleasant location

Stayed in this charming old building for 10 days, staff friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and characterful, with a pleasant balcony, a small kitchen area with a fridge. The continental breakfast was served in the garden when the weather permitted which was lovely. There is also a rooftop terrace with amazing views, accessed by a spiral staircase. The location is rather quiet, but there are quick transport links to Sorrento about 10 minutes by train, Pompeii about 30 minutes by train. The train station is around a 5 to 10 minutes walk from the hotel. Would recommend this hotel for those wanting a quiet, peaceful stay but with good connections to livelier places

Très beau voyage. Bien situé le train est à 10 minutes de marche donc à chaque jours nous pouvions aller dans différentes localités pour visiter les attractions touristiques ou partir soit en bateau ou en autobus. Faite attention la gare de train la plus proche est situé à Meta et pas à Sorento

Il paradiso a Sorrento

Abbiamo soggiornato i questo B&B per cinque notti. Siamo stati veramente da favola. Appena arrivati siamo stati accolti benissimo dal signor Carlo, che ha mostrato tanta gentilezza e simpatia. Siamo rimasti impressionato dalla pulizia e l'ordine in cui versava la camera. Ogni mattina ci siamo svegliati con una colazione fantastica servita all'aperto dal signor Gianluca. Il personale è molto gentile e sempre disponibile anche per le indicazioni sul come spostarsi e sui luoghi da visitare. La location è da sono con un mare stupendo e collegata ai paesi limitrofi come Sorrento tramite la Circumvesuviana a 10 minuti di cammino così come la spiaggia di Meta. Che dire, cinque giorni da sogno, che mi sento di raccomandare a chiunque! Ci rivedremo sicuramente! Complimenti!

View from the terrace is amazing

The two bed apartment that we stayed in was great. It gave us access to the train to visit Sorento and to local (private) beaches. Great spot for a short stay but if you have a wide car the roads are kind of narrow. Staff were excellent and very helpful.

Lovely and memorable stay

It was wonderful. Very homey, safe and tasteful. I felt the owner and staff went out of their way to make guests feel comfortable and taken care of. Meta is such a charming village away from tourist activity. Would absolutely return.

Highly recommend!Lovely hotel with friendly staff!

As a solo female traveller I am more conscious about the location of my hotel and it surrounding vicinity. I stayed at La Pennichella Sorrentina in May for 3 nights and was extremely pleased with my stay. I had a clean spacious room with staff that went out of their way to accommodate my needs. I could not thank them enough. They were aware that I was on my own and I noted they went the extra mile to help me and ensure I felt safe at all times. To be fair it is not in the heart of Sorrento but it did not pose a problem at all. There is a bus stop literally seconds away and a train station which is a 10 minute walk. During my vacation I managed to experience Sorrento, Positano, Capri (visited Blue Grotto) and Pompeii, all were very easy to get to! I strongly recommend you stay here, you will not be disappointed! I will definitely be returning in the future. :)

Chi lascia la strada vecchia per la nuova.....!

Nell'organizzare un breve soggiorno in costiera sorrentina con la mia famiglia, come sempre mi sono affidato alle esperienze di altri viaggiatori ed ho voluto cambiare struttura alloggiativa seguendo i lusinghieri giudizi espressi su questo B&B, ma questa volta, purtroppo, me ne sono pentito subito. Ho atteso qualche giorno per esprimere il mio giudizio dandomi modo di metabolizzare l'esperienza. Iniziamo col dire che il primo fattoche mi ha fatto immediatamente pentire della scelta è stato l'aver trovato la federa di un cuscino sporca (unta e macchiata, come se fosse stata lasciata dal precedente ospite). Dopo aver rappresentato lo spiacevole inconveniente al gestore, la federa è sì stata immediatamente sostituita, addebitando la responsabilità dell'accaduto alla distrazione del personale addetto al cambio della biancheria, ma la cosa ha comunque stimolato in me il desiderio di verificare lo stato di pulizia degli ambienti in cui mi accingevo a soggiornare per due notti. Il risultato, pessimo, è solo in parte raffigurato nelle poche fotografie che ho potuto allegare. Polvere sotto i letti, ragnatele sulle pareti e sui lampadari (lampade e plafoniera), finestra sporchissima e incrostata......Avremmo voluto andare via immediatamente ma la cosa ci avrebbe rovinato il breve soggiorno in costiera che, nonostante tutto, lascia sempre a bocca aperta per i meravigliosi paesaggi. A non rivederci !

Fantastic place to stay. Great value and service.

Very cozy and super good value. Bed was great and room was clean. Great service from one of the staff who offered to park my car for me after he saw me scrape the paint of the rear quarterpanel trying to park it myself. Would stay here again. Never bringing a car into Meta again though.

Favourite place in Italy

We had a wonderful time in Meta here. It's super convenient, beautiful location and the host, Carlos, is so warm, friendly and helpful. We cannot recommend this place highly enough!! Make sure to check out the view from the terrace, but definitely worth booking!!
