"Enjoyed our stay, house was in an excellent location near to the ferry, bars abd restaurants were just a short drive away.Kitchen was well equipped. The separate drinks fridge was very useful,Lovely big garden and the living area had lovely views.Beds were comfortable and the bathroom s were clean."

"This was advertised as 3.75 miles from where I needed to be and after payment showed where it actually is! 3.75 miles across the water and a 4.5 hour road trip! Hotels.com declined to refund me. No doubt the hotel is lovely but the location description from hotels.com is atrocious."

"Heronlea cottage is located in a wildlife rich location with Red Deer seen every day. The cottage is comfortable with upside down living which gives lovely views over the garden, fields and woods. There is a need in some areas of the cottage for some updating. The Dunoon area has some lovely pubs with good food, the Isle of Bute can be visited via a ferry within 40 minutes. Benmore Botanical Garden is well worth a visit."

"This is the worst place I have ever had the misfortune to stay. On arrival I could see that the building exterior was very tired. The decking was past its best and the key box was broken and the smell was dreadful as I opened the door. Tried to keep an open mind went to open windows but the bathroom and one bedroom didn’t open at all. It all needed a good clean so put the immerser on and waited, I am still waiting. The boiler remained stone cold for the duration of our stay. Escalated this to the agent and was resent a pdf of troubleshooting that did not relate to an electric element boiler. I was told it would be referred to a member of the team as a matter of urgency but I heard nothing. I tried to get hot water from the electric shower but discovered that the shower door was broken off its hinge and the thermostat went from boiling to cold of its own accord and the pressure was inconsistent within seconds going to a dribble. I had my two grandchildren with me and I had to resort to boiling a kettle and trying to wash them in a tiny sink. On top of that the WiFi did not work at any point. This was escalated also and again was provided with a pdf that I had already received and which I followed. I rebooted the system and still no connection. This also meant that there was no TV as it was reliant on internet and none of our devices worked because there was no network coverage in our area. The service from the help desk was a disgrace. Be warned. Do not book this house. "

"We booked Harris Cabin for five nights, but ended up cutting our stay short and leaving after four. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to our expectations. When we arrived, we were immediately met with an unpleasant smell inside the cabin, particularly strong in the bedroom. Despite efforts to air it out, the issue persisted, making it difficult to relax or feel at ease. We spent most of our time at a nearby friend’s caravan, returning to the cabin only to sleep. One of us even chose to sleep on the sofa with the patio doors open, as that was the only way to avoid the stronger odour. On the bright side, the cabin was clean and had a fantastic decking area with great views — easily the highlight of the space. However, the interior furnishings, carpets, and some appliances felt quite outdated and could really use an upgrade. The location has real potential and the outdoor space is genuinely lovely, but a few improvements indoors and addressing the ventilation issue would go a long way in making Harris Cabin a more enjoyable retreat."
