Tucked in the quiet village of Seal Cove on the western shore of Mount Desert Island, Loon Call is a thoughtfully designed retreat just minutes from Acadia National Park. This is the kind of place that makes you forget your to-do list the moment you arrive. Step onto the deck, take in the water views over Seal Cove, and listen for the loons. At night, the stillness is exactly what you came to Maine for.
Loon Call sits on three wooded acres at the edge of Seal Cove, with sweeping views of the water and Bartlett Island beyond. It is quiet out here in the best possible way. The kind of quiet where you notice the loons before you notice anything else, and where the pace of the day naturally slows down.
The western side of Mount Desert Island is a different experience than Bar Harbor. Less crowded, more local, and surrounded by the kind of nature that does not feel curated. You are 23 minutes from Bar Harbor, 20 minutes from the Cadillac Mountain entrance to the Park Loop Road, and just minutes from Long Pond for kayaking, swimming, or simply sitting at the water's edge.
As for us, we do live on the property in our Airstream, but we are fully committed to the "this is your vacation" mindset. You might spot us outside working on a project, walking our dogs, or hanging by the campfire, but we will give you plenty of space to settle in and enjoy. We are here if you need anything, and otherwise we will stay out of your way.
This is three acres of peace and quiet. Come decompress.
