Not in enough promoted hotel. Excellent food (breakfast and a la card). Generally, in Bulgaria people working as waiters are not pleasant and this hotel are not exceptional. Big and clean apartments.

Sehr erholsam, idyllische gelegen am Rande des Piringebirge. Schöne Poolanlage, sowohl innen als auch aussen. Frühstück reichhaltig.

Spectacular views from our room. All employees were attentive and professional. Loved the food in the restaurant and the pool was sparkling. Would love to come back again.

the hotel is very old, the service very poor , almost no one speak English, the bathroom inside the room is very small , and overall I'm not satisfied at all. I stayed for 3 nights and they only fix the beds every day and nothing else , they don't even wash the dishes for 3 days!!!

Stayed for a weekend ski

Comfortable, clean and everything prepared and heat was turned on before our arrival. It's a comfortable place to stay skiing in Bansko. It's about 20+ minutes from the Gondola and there's free shuttle bus. The hotel food was pretty good and less pricey than the places in town.

Good budget stay at bansko area

nice hotel. pool very small and crowded, no towels or flipflops to use. sauna/hamam not in same building as rooms so people have to walk outside at cold weather to go to rooms. Elevators very slow. Kids place good and spacious lot of toys. location is outside bansko need car. breakfast was ok and personel working very friendly. parking easy. free shuttle bus to gondola. Rooms clean warm and spacious. issues: - very small tv and not plugs to charge phones. I had to find to use plugs of sidebed lamps to get some power - checkout problem with double payment hope to resolve soon. - Fridge was not plugged in when arrived.

Το ξενοδοχειο ειναι εξαιρετικο με πολυ ομορφα και ζεστα δωματια!Φανταστειτε πως ειχαμε τζακι στο δωματιο μας και δεν χρειαστηκε καν να το αναψουμε λογω της αρκετης ζεστης που επικρατουσε!Ο χωρος του σπα πολυ καλος και καθαρος οπως επισης και το εστιατοριο!Το Μπανσκο βρισκεται 7 λεπτα μακρια με το αυτοκινητο!Θα ξαναπηγαιναμε σιγουρα!

Wouldn't recommend it

The Balkan Jewel Resort is located outside the city. It's a 15 minute drive to Bansko with almost nothing in between. So if you don't want to spend your entire time at the resort, you'll have to take a shuttle to the city. The resort is split up into four building, unfortunately they are not connected with an internal walkway. Ergo you have to exit your building to go to the restaurant, the front desk, the gym/massage room/ jacuzzi, etc. Think about that in the winter; you'll have to wear a winter coat just to go for breakfast or pack a bag to go for a massage. We went during the off season. We were in the Amber building of the resort. All the lights in the building were almost always off, so we would have to turn on the lights when we entered/exited the building and our floor. The building was deserted. It's just strange for a hotel. The sole restaurant at the resort isn't very good but it's your only option if you don't want to get out. I regret picking the Balkan Jewel Resort. I strongly recommend picking a hotel in Bansko, around the city center instead.

We do offer a free scheduled shuttle service to Bansko, Razlog and also the Pirin golf club. The lights in the building should come on automatically when you enter a building as we have them on sensors for ecological reasons .. and I will certainly check in to why they didn't come on automatically. Also an apartment in the spa building can be requested. I am sorry that we didn't live up to your expectations but hope you had an enjoyable time Warm Regards The Balkan Jewel Team

Nettes hotel in razlog, in nächter näher zu bansko

Es war ein schöner Aufenthalt, Zimmer sehr komfortabel. Die Badelandschaft schön jedoch hätten Säuberugsgegenstände aus der Badelandschaft entfernt werden sollen, jene stören etwas das Gesamtbild.

Excellent experience

The hotel was amazing, the staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful throughout our whole stay. The location was nice and quiet, but the shuttle busses that the hotel offers to Bansko makes it so convenient for a perfect holiday. Easy to get to the ski resort, and relaxing.

Value for money..

Very nice big rooms...inside swimming pool good it could be more hot,the steam bath and the sauna very nice...at the restaurant the food a la carte was good,the brekfast has only the basic...

Amazing stay

Everything was amazing. The only bad thing was that on the day when we were leaving the guy at the reception charged us for the bathtubs for the pool. He told us that it is not a deposit, but a charge for using them. Our friends were staying at the same time in the hotel and the girl at the reception returned their deposit for the bathtubs. It was obvious that he is not following the same policy, whether it was for his personal interest or no, I would recommend that the hotel makes sure that employees refrain from such behavior, as our stay was really amazing and it is sad that things like this ruin both the reputation and all the hard work that a lot of other staff put into.

What an amazing, fantastic experience!

Our stay at the Balkan Jewel Resort was an amazing experience, so relaxing and so delightful! The hotel is very modern, spotlessly clean and filled with all the amenities you need. We stayed at the Amber building and had a marvelous view of the Pirin mountains and our room was very nicely decorated. The room, which was the smallest one offered, was huge, with a large bathroom and a very spacious balcony. The kitchenette is very well equipped and the fridge is quite big. The spa and the newly opened indoor pool are excellent, we used them every day, they were very clean and relaxing! The hotel staff are very friendly and accommodating and an additional bonus to our stay was the free shuttle service to Bansko and other places, which we used a lot. The game room area is very good and we played a lot of pool in the evenings. The hiking trails start at the vicinity of the hotel and there's a golf course just above it. All in all, we can't wait to go back to the Balkan Jewel, which is an excellent value for money and gives you so much luxury and comfort! A big thanks to all the folks who work there, that made our stay so amazing!

The Balkan Jewel was amazing! we loved it. Went in summer to hike in the Pirin Mountains - the location is good for this, but it is very quiet around which suited us (not many restaurants/bars in summer). The room was lovely and great views from the balcony, the staff were really friendly. We had a massage and it was amazing - the guy really knew what he was doing, probably the best sports massage I've had in years and I go often. Only negative was the food in restuarant wasn't amazing, frozen pizza I'm sure, but you have a little kitchen so can just cook your own. I'm looking forward to going back next year!

Huonoa palvelua

Hotellin henkilökunta ei tiedä, että hotellivarauksen voi tehdä hotels.com:issa. He eivät myöskään tiedä, että hotels.com lähettää asiakkaalle viestin, jossa kerrotaan, että maksu veloitetaan kortilta ja hotellilla on 0 euroa maksettavana. Kohdallani kävi nimittäin niin, että hotellilla minulle kerrotaan, ettei maksua ole tullut ja korttini on invalid (!). Korttimaksu ei onnistu myöskään hotellilla johtuen puutteellisista tietoliikenneyhteyksistä ja aina vaan syytetään epäkelvottomasta kortista (joka kuitenkin toimi moitteetta esim Banskon hissilippua ostettaessa). Tämä episodi oli asiakkaan kannalta erittäin rasittava ja olisi hyvin voitu hoitaa ennen kohteeseen saapumista. Kukaan ei ottanut minuun yhteyttä, ettei maksua olisi mennyt. Totta kai olen silloin siinä uskossa, että se on otettu, niin kuin hotels.comin sähköposti kertoo.

Overall it was ok.

Overall it was ok. The first night when we arrived was very cold, probably they have problems with insulation, but I slept for the first time with a head cap at a hotel. The hotel staff told us that they have nothing to do, beacause they sleep in a same situation (big minus!!!), although they could give heat 1-2 days before since it was -10 degrees outside. After the 2nd day lunch the apartaments was quite heated and it was ok. The hotel is a bit far from the resort and slopes, but is comfortable overall. Advantages such as: games room, breakfast ok, equipped apartments.

Lækkert hotel, lækker standard, og nu kommer det... MEN, stedet er endnu ikke slået igennem og man kan tydelig mærke, at der bare ingenting derude når solen er gået ned. Derfor, sikre dig, at du har en bil så du kan komme rundt. Super billigt og super lækre rum.

Outstanding Value

A superb two-bedroom apartment overlooking Pirin Golf for just 16 GBP a night is a real bargain. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the overall experience was close to perfection. We will go back again next year probably for at least two weeks.

Extra hotel for the price.....

Everything was extra with the hotel.......The staff, the room, the service......only thing needed is maybe to have a small indoor pool or at least a jacuzzi .......than everything would be perfect......

amazing

the best hotel ever and the staff were so friendly and helpful. It is in a beautiful location and the spa centre is an added bonus. We are planning to return next year for a proper holiday as one night was not enough. The appartments were beautiful and so spacious complete with a cooker if there longer. The kids loved the games room as so good as this was all free. I can only imagine how beautiful it is in the winter but the summer is lovely as hot but not crowded.

An amazing position overlooking Pirin Golf towards the beautiful Pirin mountains.

A large clean apartment at a bargain price. Stunning views, friendly staff and all the necessary facilities except an indoor pool. Overall, it exceeded my expectations, which is a rare thing these days. I'll bring the family back again next year.

Ξενοδοχειο balkan jewel στο bansko

Ειχαν κανει λαθος κρατηση. Προσπαθησαν να μας χρεωσουν παραπανω. Το σπα τους δεν λειτουργουσε καμια μερα. Μας εκλεψαν προσωπικο αντικειμενο μεσα στο ξενοδοχειο και υπηρχε πληρης αδιαφορια. Δεν ξερουν καλα αγγλικα και δεν μιλαν καθολου ελληνικα. Ειναι εξω απο το μπανσκο και ο δρομος ως το ξενοδοχειο δεν ειναι παντα καθαρισμενος ( οπως σε αλλες περιοχες). Δεν εχει επαρκες ζεστο νερο και σε καποια δωματια δεν υπαρχει πιεση του νερου. Δεν θα το προτιναμε σε κανεναν και σιγουρα δεν θα ξαναπαμε στο συγκεκριμενο ξενοδοχειο.
