If you need to be close to downtown Chapel Hill/Carrboro this is the place to be. BUT the place is unthoughtfully designed and equipped. Elevators (2) are on one end of a long winding building, ask to be close to them or it's a friggin mile to your room and back. There is a single USB charging port in a clock you will only find if you scour the place. At $240 on a mostly empty night, I'll find an AB&B next time.

Hampton Inn Downtown Carrboro

This Hampton Inn is located right in the heart of downtown Carrboro. Convenient to shopping and dining. Facilities include a business center, fitness center and swimming pool. Parking is in the attached garage on the 4th and 5th floors and may cost $20 per night, but is free if you are a Hilton Honors member.

This is the first time visiting Chapel Hill. We had such a wonderful stay. The staff was so nice and the room was a 10 out of 10. We will definitely stay at your hotel again at the next Tarheels game we go to.

Best location in Carrboro

Overall, a terrific stay. Had a problem with the HVAC that could not be remedied our first night because the hotel was sold out. But upon request, we were upgraded to a corner suite with a terrific view, which was lovely. The staff was very courteous and friendly. Best location in Carrboro too, walkable to everything.

Location and service is everything

Great location with top notch service and great parking options. Walking distance to all the places you’d want to hit up in Chapel Hill/Carrboro. I’ll definitely be back!

I didn’t like paying for parking, and 13 pound dog. No refrigerator or microwave in room. I won’t be staying there again.

The room doors are super heavy and always slam shut so the walls of the room (and bed headboard) shake!! Pillows… are not so good.

Good enough!

Comfortable stay - we needed a quick overnight. The room was clean and comfortable. There is a gym and continental breakfast but we did not have a chance to enjoy those. Two cons: -parking is $20 per night and there is no direct access for lot to hotel. You have to come down 4-5 levels to the ground floor and back outside to access the hotel. -this may have been based on where our room was but we could hear others in the hall way, doors closing, etc very easily. I would still stay here again - good value and location.

This comfortable and safe property is tucked away in the middle of town. It is close to reasonable and delicious places to dine. Luna was also culturally inclined with food and comfortable at the same time. A unique place.

Great location in Carrboro

This hotel is in a great location and is within walking distance to grocery, dining, shopping and night life including Cats Cradle. The staff is very attentive and even text you to ensure you have everything you need.

No real hang-ups...

Great check in Staff Room was great except Internet did not work (the server was down!) And the water pressure from the wash basin was, well, nothing. Had to use the basin in the kitchen. Was interrupted by house staff, even though Do Not Disturb Sign was up

Overall, we had a nice stay but there were a couple of things I’d like to point out. When the fire alarm went off, the staff didn’t do a good job of communicating when we were able to return to our rooms (we were staying on the 2nd floor). It would’ve been really beneficial to make a clear announcement to everyone waiting in the lobby. The rooms seemed a bit outdated, with a lack of streaming services like Netflix and no mini-fridge. Finally, I was surprised to find parking was $20 per night. Maybe I missed this information on Expedia, but I wish this had been communicated more clearly before I made the booking.

MarQuis (I believe that how his name is spelled - I glanced at the name tag), front office staff, was welcoming, friendly, and accommodating. He did his best, within his authority, to give good customer service.
