Comfort with BEST ocean view

This was our first breakaway to Pringle Bay. Struggled to decide where to stay, but are we pleased that we decided on Villa Marine. Will pick this B&B over and over - best view in town, the ocean on your door step and the jacuzzi was our highlight of the day. As the wind can blow very strong in Pringle Bay, we still enjoyed the sun, the view and could relax in the jacuzzi with a light ocean breeze. Friendly host and never in your way, but someone was always available!

We had room number 5, which has an own whirlpool outside on the terrace. The sunset view was amazing! We loved it!

The location is amazing. Just in front of the ocean with a very deep blue view from your bed. Very quiet and inspiring.

Fantastic location

The views from this guest house are spectacular. Every room is facing the sea and you are so close you can almost touch the waves. Very welcoming and lovely little touches in the room from the decanter of sherry, bottles of still and sparkling water in addition to the lovely soft bathrobes. The pool had great view over the sea and nice deck to relax on. Will definitely be back.

Beautiful Setting & Stunning Views

Having had 4 nights on safari up in Kruger and flown down to Cape Town, we really wanted somewhere to chill, see the sea and relax for an evening.... Villa Marine and Pringle Bay delivered. We had one of the Jacuzzi rooms which was light, comfortable and spacious. Bathroom was also really nice. Sitting in the Jacuzzi and watching the crashing waves below was great, albeit the temperature of the Jacuzzi needs to be lowered as you couldn't stay in it for long as it was scolding. The breakfast was also beautiful and the owners and staff really friendly. Free parking outside and free wifi also very welcome. Location is close to Betty's Bay which certainly seemed less crowded than Boulders Beach if you want to see penguins. Another thing to note is the drive from Gordons Bay to Kleinmond (and Pringle Bay) along Clarence Drive. It is simply stunning and one of the most beautiful and breath taking drives I have ever experienced. One recommendation though would be to take the advice given beforehand and book a restaurant. We managed to pick up a cancellation at "Hook, Line and Sinker" which served up one of the best steaks I have ever had.

We enjoyed a very restful afternoon just soaking in the view of surf crashing on the rocks outside our room. The room itself and bathroom are lovely, as is the rest of the house. Susan, the hostess, is very friendly and helpful. A perfect spot to spend some time.

Room with fantastic view on sea

Lovely quiet place with fantastic view and lovely beach nearby.little village less than 5 mn away in car with few restaurants and cafe. Penguins colony in Betty s bay around the corner. Would recommend either room 5&6 for tub and view or top rooms for view without the tub. Room 4 not so good for view but has tub if it is what you want.lovely staff and very accommodating, let us leave stuff in their big fridge and kept our bags while on the beach during the day after we had checked out.very peaceful and I couldn't get enough of the crashing waves from my balcony, fantastic scenery.

Wunderschöne Villa in toller Lage + super Personal

Die Villa Marine war eins der schönsten Unterkünfte auf unserer Tour von Port Elizabeth nach Kapstadt - direkt am Meer gelegen, über den "Klippen" mit hohen schaumschlagenden Wellen. Der Ort Pringle Bay ist idyllisch ruhig. Auf kleinen Pfaden kann man von der Villa Marine bis zum Strand von Pringle Bay spazieren. Darüber hinaus verfügt Pringle Bay über ein tolles Lokal (Bistr 365 Grad), was man faktisch in 15min auch zu Fuß erreichen kann. Die Kriminalitätsrate ist hier sehr niedrig, so dass es sogar abends möglich ist, sich zu Fuß zu bewegen. Von allen Zimmer oder dem Pool kann man - je nach Wetterlage - einen wunderschönen Sonnenuntergang am Kap der Guten Hoffnung sehen. Das Haus ist sehr stilvoll eingerichtet. Von Zimmer 1 hat man neben dem Meerblick aus dem Bett auch unter der Dusche einen ganz tollen Blick auf die "Berge" - und kann, wenn man sehr früh wach ist, auch den Sonnenaufgang über den "Bergen" bewundern. Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend. Montags sind die Lokale in Pringle Bay geschlossen und so konnten wir uns in der Küche des Gästehauses "austoben". Grundsätzlich steht das komplette Haus den Gästen zur Verfügung, was den Aufenthalt rundum komfortabel macht.

Amazing views, great staff, memorable experience

I spent 3 days at Villa Marine and don't regret a single minute of it. The staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating, the hotel is cozy and the views amazing, and it made me feel I was in a good friends' house. Susan and her staff drove me where I needed to go and bent over backwards to make sure I was well taken care of. When I signed up to stay at Villa Marine, I did not know what to expect, as the only place I had read about it was from the Internet. I was not disappointed. The house is literally right next to the ocean and I could sleep with the sliding glass doors open to the sound of the waves and the cool ocean breeze. Pringle Bay is a unique, off-the-beaten path, little town and I had so much fun exploring. It is close to a beautiful botanical garden, the penguin colony at Betty's Bay, and beautiful beaches. I can't say anything negative about this place or location.

Great B & B right on the sea

A little off the beaten track but well worth the effort. Probably one of the best B & B we have stayed in. Super clean, extremely comfortable bed and pillows, everything you could need in your room and the owners/staff are very friendly. Only stayed the one night but could have stayed another. Not much to do in Pringle Bay but it did not matter as our room and all the others had an uninterupted view of the sea.......would definately stay there again.

nice and calm place

This is a magnificent place on the coast. The guest house is nicely done up and we enjoyed beautiful sun sets beginning of February. The service is very friendly. We relaxed on the sand beach a little bit further down the road. The village as such is very calm (not to say boring)

Persönliche Unterkunft mit fantastischem Meerblick

Wir waren 4 Tage/Nächte in der Villa Marine. Pringle Bay ist ein kleiner, beschaulicher Ort mit nur wenigen Lokalen, aber sehr gut zum Ausspannen geeignet. Unser Zimmer (Nr. 3) war sehr schön, insbesondere auch das große Bad mit mehreren Febstern und fantastischem Ausblick in die Berge.

The Villa Marine, a very romantic hotel.

When we arrived the first time it was late on Wednesday and we were searching for somewhere to stop for the night. We were greeted by a very pleasant gentleman that introduced himself as the manager. He showed us the room and we instantly were full of approval, the room was spotless, the balcony looked straight on to the sea. We spent the evening looking out to see and at the surrounding mountains, when it got dark we spent the time star gazing. We enjoyed our stay so much that we came back again on Saturday night for our last night in South Africa.

Felt a bit like someones house

I would not recommend this as a stay if you are looking for privacy. It has the sense of a living room and spare room in someones house. The rooms are spacious and clean and the bathrooms very nice. The service at breakfast is sub par.

Paradise at beach front

We stayed three nights and every minute of it was speacial. What a wonderful guesthouse. We just felt so welcome and enjoyed the hospitality of the owners. We had an amazing view to the ocean. I highly recommend this place as well as Pringle Bay. A place for your soul.

Most relaxing weekend!

Villa Marine has the most amazing views and is the ideal place for a totally relaxing weekend. The hosts are very friendly and helpful and Pringle Bay is a lovely seaside getaway.

Gorgeous, friendly and comfortable!

My partner and I were travelling back from Hermanus and we had booked here as it had everything we were looking for, quiet, comfortable, by the sea, relaxing and the chance of seeing whales. We arrived and we were not disappointed! I had unfortunately booked wrong dates for our stay but our host was superb and accommodated us and there was no problems what so ever. We were looked after very well and never felt uncomfortable or out of place. A home from home. Unfortunately the weather turned sour so our chances of seeing whales were scuppered but from facilities to our warm service and gorgeous house we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The only downside is it is very remote and you would have to travel 20 mins to find a decent place to eat. Other than that if your looking for a romantic or quiet getaway and want to feel comfortable and relaxed and well looked after this place is perfect. Only regret was that we only stayed for one night. Definitely recommended!

Pragtfuld natur -ugeneret med bølgerne helt tæt på

Rent og ordentligt B&B - meget personlig betjening. Skøn beliggenhed. Bølgernes brusen helt tæt på og pragtfuld udsigt. Store værelser med flot betjening. Frisk vand på flasker hver dag og lille the-køkken med det hele inkl. småkager og portvin. Dejlig morgenmad, hvor du kan bestille æggeret på alle måder. Frisk frugt med yogurt. God mad på de få restaurenter, der er i byen.

highlight of our trip

Villa Marine is a gem. We'd travelled around South Africa and Namibia for over 2 weeks and this was one of the highlights. Our room had the most amazing balcony and view that you could imagine. The place was so good that we almost changed our entire itinerary to stay another night. It is like heaven. Also book a table at the Hook Line and Sinker restaurant and you will have the ideal stay. I'm from the UK but would go back to S Africa just to go to Pringle Bay!
