Welcome to Floretta, a family home in Fremantle, Western Australia. Located high atop the Beaconsfield ridge overlooking the ocean and South Fremantle, Floretta is perfectly situated to enjoy South Beach sunsets, the vibrant port city of Fremantle and the famous “Fremantle Doctor” breeze on balmy summer afternoons. This beautiful heritage listed Jarrah cottage was originally built in 1929 by a sailor who worked on HMAS Kybra.
She was decommissioned in Fremantle in 1945 and later sold to a Singaporean company who renamed her “Floretta”. The old Frangipani tree in the back garden was planted before the cottage was built. The descendants of the sailor who lived here have memories climbing and playing in its branches as children. The cottage has been lovingly restored with an extension built to the rear, designed around the old Frangipani tree that the owners children also love to climb and play in. Floretta is the ideal retreat for couples or small families.
