Thank you wonderful guest and suggestions, Harlem has cleaner air, more lights and spacious. We are 3 blocks away from the Apollo, Magic Johnson theatre, Harlem Museum, Wholefoods and in the middle of two famous restaurant rows.. We are located in a very quiet short block but a few mins walk to main subways and buses to a few stops tourist attractions such as Lincoln Ctr. Times Squares, Madison Sq garden and museum row. I agree more exciting await to come to Harlem. Its a bit misty day before Florence landed. I hope to see the guest back when the weather is nicer and enjoy more days to explore or sit on stoops. We provide early check in and later check out. Occasionally we upgraded customers to nicer unit. If the guests came very early, took red eye flights and begged to get some sleep, we also understood and tried to accommodate as well. The breakfasts at the cafe nearby was praised my 95% of our guests, with quality, friendly and services. They are open early and have wide range of delicious foods. I’m sorry that this guest was too busy to visit there. We provided unlimited, spring water, great coffee, Tea, cereals, milk eggs, bread, butter n jams, fruits & pastries or more in occasions. We have served many Columbia U community and is driven to better services. We are 10 mins walk to Columbia.

We were very disappointed that the guests used the bath tub that was not advertised on any websites, they stayed for 3 days, then heard the jacuzzi from other unit which was equipped for Jacuzzi. They used the tub without permission, asked instruction and damaged the property. Then they fled. Refused to take their responsibility for their actions.

Thank you for your note, our priority to keep the historic structure as original as much as we can, we try not alter the wall or bringing HVAC Central system. if you would let me know while you stay I would be glad to bring the screen to prevent direct fan from AC or turn the grills on AC to divert the fan to other direction. Our guest comfort is our utmost goal.

Thank you for your message, From time to time we have newly staffs that were in training, we would and try very hard that we provide clean and function appliances to our guests. If our bathroom is as clean as our guests can kiss the floor that was our goal. We would immediately clean or respond to any inconvenience to our guest requests if that can be done. The cleaning fee is becoming standard to the industry, our fee is by far less than most of other up keeping rental market. We are very happy that most of our guests love the breakfast at the Cafe.

Thank you for your note, we are having a new add number in front of the house made and shortly will be installed. Sorry for the confusing, the guest arrived at the right address. Most of our guests found us and we are easily located by Google map and as any addresses in Manhattan. We were expecting the guest to call with any issue but never receive a call which can easily solve the issue. The front desk is open most of the time until 6 PM and available for any emergency calls for 24 hrs.

We appreciated all reviews from guests but this is not a case described above, the guest expected the entire house for themselves. She booked for one and showed up two persons and asked if our front door camera captured their car view. We received a call a day before arrival regarding to the parking and explained about alternate street city parking. Just be precaution for our guests’ safety we recommended all guests who are driving to unload the suitcases before finding the parking space etc. Most of our guests found parking within 15-20 mins. Many repeating guests who drove to stay with us for2 yrs.. Though these guests found the parking right near front of the house which was very lucky. They were not happy, because of other personal issues but sorry that they put all the blames on us. We have lived in Harlem for 18 yrs, never have a bad situation more than living in any other parts of NYC. The guest was threaten to write a bad review if not meet demands, private parking and a full refund though the booking was made within 3 days before arrival. We refunded as per cancellation policy which the guest did not read or call to ask questions before booking. The guests asked about the parking which we explained before arrival. Our office was not the most neat but we locked our cabinets of guest information at night. The house was restored, clean and maintained in very good condition but maybe ones may not like dark mahogany wood but instead prefer white walls on sheetrocks. At least 95+% of the guests who booked like the mansion and the photos do not do the justice. This guest claimed that she works in customer service and made many unreasonable demands. We are NYC & NYS BnB/Hotel.

Our prepay reservation is a bit strict. We offered a full refund upto 5 days before arrival, then within the zone of 5 days refund 50%. We also offered a credit to the future stay(s) or credit of the same value. We are a small inn but trying to be flexible and accommodating every guest. Please read the details and be certain that you can make a trip, ask all questions. We would love to give each guest an orientation of how to navigate New York City and where to go about. We are sorry that we can not please every one but we try to have your stay worth while.

Thank you for your response. We are just moving our business from Bed & breakfast into hotel environment, we intend to keep up with the standard as soon as possible. We still need to add the homey and personal touch to our clients in order for every one to maximize their visits.
