What a lovely family run Villa, wish we stayed more than one night. The rooms were clean and comfortable. So awesome to be able to get refreshed in the pool after a long day of travel. The owners were super friendly and helpful in giving information. There was even a cute cat that would come by to say hello. Breakfast was simple continental with fresh cappuccino. Would stay again.

Nice Stop
Excellent location next to rail tracks where you can hop the train. The host accommodated our very late check in two hours after check in closed as we had various issues on the way there. Comfortable bed, great breakfast, can leave car there protected and walk to do Pompeii Ruins. Only issue is train is noisy late and early, but not middle of the night.

Great value for money. Recommend the homemade dinner option, it was delicious. Owners were very friendly. This is not a Hilton or Marriott, it is an authentic family run motel/hotel. Would stay again when visiting. Short walk to Pompeii Free secured parking on site.

If you want a place to stay where your plan is to see Pompeii stay here. They have a home cooked 5 course meal available for a few that is absolutely amazing. They are friendly and it is walking distance to Pompeii archaleogical site and the Pompeii train station so you can continue your trip to the amalfi coast after testing snigger here to see pompei

Excellent hosts, very friendly and accommodating, The pool was small but refreshing. you MUST have dinner there at least one night the home made itilaian dinner they provide is absolutely incredible. 10 minute walk to Pompeii archaeology site And to the train station is a 7 minute walk. Would stay here again, great value for the price. Spacious rooms.

excellent séjour
Excellent accueil, ambiance familiale, personnel très sympathique. La piscine est vraiment un plus durant la saison estivale. L'hébergement est bien situé, proche de l'entrée des ruines et de la gare de Pompéi Scavi. Certes, les chambres mériteraient un peu de rénovation, mais tout le nécessaire y est. Nous y avons passé un excellent séjour.

Nous avons été traités comme des rois!!! Nos hôtes d’une générosité exceptionnelle, nous ont servi un souper napolitain 5⭐️ en plus de nous avoir concocté un excellent dîner le jour du départ après notre visite des ruines de Pompéi!!!! Tout a été facile! L’endroit facile à trouver et à se rendre à pieds depuis la gare et pour se rendre aux ruines! La piscine a été appréciée avec cette chaleur. Je recommande chaudement! 💕

Vielen lieben Dank für die wunderbaren Tage! Ich war Alleinreisende, mein Zimmer war gemütlich, groß und sauber. Das W-lan stabil. Ich konnte direkt im Innenhof kostenlos parken, Giuseppe hatte mich kurz nach der Buchung angeschrieben und Hilfe bei der Organisation der Exkursion nach Pompeiji angeboten, hat mich bei der Ankunft begrüßt und direkt auf ein Getränk eingeladen. Das Dinner abends war unglaublich lecker, liebevoll zubereitet und sehr ausreichend. Unbedingt ausprobieren! Abends sitzt man gemütlich beim kostenlos gereichten Limoncelli im Innenhof und ich habe viele Interessente Nette andere Gäste kennengelernt. Giuseppe hat mir Antimückenspray organisiert, mein Auto auch ausgeparkt, weil die Einfahrt aufs Grundstück doch recht eng ist, war jederzeit ansprechbar und wirklich alle Wünsche erfüllt bzw Fragen beantwortet. Vor dem Frühstück und auch nach dem Abendessen konnte ich noch in den Pool, das Wasser war sehr angenehm und sauber. Auf den Liegen konnte man entspannen, in der Sonne oder im Schatten. Mit dem Zug bin ich nach Neapel gefahren, Metro Tagesticket Linea 1 gekauft und bis nach „Toledo“ gefahren . Möglichst früh losfahren, nachmittags ist es dann zu laut und warm. In der Ausgrabungsstätte hatte ich eine sehr gute deutsche Führung (2h) und bin mit App/Audioguides noch 3 weitere Stunden über das beeindruckende Gelände gelaufen und habe dennoch nicht alles gesehen. Ich komme wieder - in die Villa Franca !!!!!

The Villa is situated close to the Pompeii ruins and train station. The value for money was good and facilities available met our needs. Cleanliness was good with the room being cleaned daily. The owners were friendly and very informative with their local knowledge and suggestions. We would recommend Villa Franca to others. The atmosphere is friendly but not intrusive. This is a small, basic, family run hotel. They are friendly - cook great food - we ate there every night though we hadn’t planned to and breakfast is plentiful and tasty. It isn’t especially pretty, the beds and pillows are a bit tired but it was very clean with lots of hot water and although the circumvesuviana trains run past the property they do not run especially late or early and so it was not a problem. It also literally borders the Pompeii ruins and is a short walk to the trains and buses that go from there to local sites - the train runs between Naples and Sorrento. Extremely good value - but don’t expect 5 star luxury at these prices. Will definitely go back.

The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and nice. There is a lovely pool and garden and breakfast is included. It is next to rail line but has a railfan that was a bonus for me. Station and archeological site within walking distance.

amazing place all around. literally a 5 minute walk away from pompei which was also right across the street from the train station (which had restaurants and a little shop with essentials), which made getting to sorrento/the amalfi coast super easy. the place was very quiet and peaceful, and the neighbourhood felt safe. dinner is provided as long as you let them know in advance and the food is great and authentic. we felt welcomed like family, and the dinner area was a great place to meet other people staying at the villa. absolutely recommend to anyone visiting pompei!

Villa Franca kan varmt rekommenderas. Underbart historiskt läge med Pompeji utgrävningar som granne. Ett litet familjehotell, rent och fräscht. God frukost och om man vill, går det att boka middag. Dessa middagar med gott vin är typiskt napoleanska. Kan varmt rekommenderas. fem minuters promenad till tåget. Antingen till Neapel eller Sorrento. Helt perfekt.

Unmittelbar an den Bahngleisen. Lärm von 6.30 -22.00 Uhr Später lief noch die Pumpe vom Schwimmingpool. Das Zimmer war zwar sauber und das Bett war gut. Die Fenster hatten undurchsichtiges Glas und die Zimmer waren dunkel wie eine Abstellkammer. Kaum Tageslicht. Kein gebuchter Gartenblick möglich bei geschlossenen Fenstern. Ohne künstliches Licht war im Zimmer nichts zu finden. Die Sanitäreinrichtung ist laut, überaltert und nicht zeitgemäss. Das Frühstück war kein Buffet. Keine Butter oder Eier, Käse etc. Belegte Brötchen mit Wurst ohne Butter wurden mit Bananen und Crossaints griffbereit hingelegt, Bei schlechtem Wetter hält man sich im Zimmer ungern auf.

This was a gem of a find. It may not have 5 star decor, but dont let that fool you. The family who run the Villa are amazing, very friendly, cant do enough for you and are very knowledgable. We ate here every night and wow, just wow. The food was out of this world. Its a set menu which changes daily, but if you dont like something theyll happily change it. It is also within 10 mins walk of pompeii, and the station for Herculaneum, Sorrento and Naples. We will come back here.

We spent two weeks in Italy (Rome, Pompei and Sardinia). Villa Franca was one of our favourite places to stay (we are a family of four). Why? The owners are absolutely wonderful people. The Napoli hospitality was right there...cooked dinner, great conversation, etc. I just wished we had stayed longer. Also, the location is ideal for visiting the Pompei ruins. Kohteessa ei ole vastaanottoa 24h. Koska saavuimmekin aikaisemmin kun mitä olin alunperin hotellille ilmoittanut, saimme odotella yli tunnin matkalaukkujen kanssa helteessä sisään porteista pääsyä. Mitään ravintolaa tai allasbaaria hotellilla ei ollut, vaikka näin oli ilmoitettu. Huone oli siisti ja hyvä. Pyysimme hotellin omistajaa auttamaan meitä taksin tilauksessa jatkomatkaa varten, ja hän ohjasi meidät (aikuinen, iäkäs isoäiti ja kaksi lasta) itse hakemaan taksia parin kilometrin päästä löytyvältä taksi tolpalta. Hotellin vieressä on junarata jonka ylitystä valvoi ihana ystävällinen henkilö, joka toi meille vettä ja leipää kun odottelimme hotelliin sisään pääsyä. Pompein arkeologinen puisto löytyy läheltä hotellia, mikä oli iso plussa. Kesäkuussa Pompein lähiravintolat sulkivat jo klo 17 aikaan, ja koska hotellilta ei voinut erikseen ostaa ruokaa tai juomaa heidän tarjoamaa 30euron illallista lukuunottamatta, saimme syödä omia karkkia ja sipsejä illalliseksi. Huoneen lattia meni samantien likaiseksi mustista marjoista jotka oli pudonnut huoneen edessä olevasta puusta ja liiskaantuneet kulkutielle. Uima-altaasta nautimme helteessä kovasti.

Note positive: Il prezzo... (Ma come si dice... Talis pagatio...) La posizione, abbastanza vicina all'ingresso degli scavi, alle limitrofe fermate di treno e bus (500m) ed all'uscita di villa dei Misteri (100m). La possibilità di parcheggio all'interno della struttura; La squisita cena che consiglio a tutti i futuri clienti. La colazione e la cortesia dei titolari Da rivedere: Le stanze (la nostra era con piccole finestre senza scuri, con evidenti segni di usura, poco insonorizzata e per di più molto vicina alla linea ferroviaria. Per chi interessa mancava la TV); La pulizia non eccelsa. I flaconi di sapone liquido e doccia restano a disposizione per i prossimi clienti. I dintorni a tarda serata.

Very good stay directly at the Pompeii ruins. We have hade marvelous dinners during our stay, very friendly family owning the place. The room was old but the dinner at the hotel made everything worth while.

Idéalement placé pour visiter le site de Pompéi
Accueil très chaleureux, on se sent bien et à l’aise! Lieu agréable, au pied du site de Pompéi ( idéal pour la visite) avec parking (très pratique au sud de l’Italie). Notre chambre était grande, simple mais confortable. Petits déjeuners , service de bars et dîners disponibles , c’était en été donc nous étions sur la terrasse ombragée près de la piscine.
