Mattresses were great, connected to Gare Centrale, walking distance to many restaurants (Dunns was delicious).
Room was modern and updated, hallways were refreshed (8th floor). Apparently they have a barbie room.

Great location and beautiful city, but the price was way too expensive for the room we stayed in. The room was very small and very typical at an upscale price. We try and stay once a year, but this will be the last year unless prices improve dramatically.

Good quality rooms and nice central location.
Not rating higher as disgraceful for a hotel like this to charge an additional fee to leave your bag for a few hours.
Also hotel bar was somewhat understaffed - albeit when you get served, the staff are great!

Their fire alarm systems malfunctioned at midnight and caused an alarm. We evacuated and had to run around outside with our kids in our pjs. They did not manage the situation well at all. No information, no one directing. They acted as if everything was normal

The staff were exceptional. From the reception desk, concierge, and bellman. Extremely courteous, pleasant and helpful. Valet parking was very simple and convenient. Great location.

Excellent hotel, very clean, staff are extremely professional, close to the Bell Centre and restaurants.
Great coffee shops in main lobby too.
After the game went to the hotel bar for a few drinks and once again the staff were awesome!
Would highly recommend this hotel for any stays in downtown Montreal.
This hotel is always my first choice when in Montreal.

The area from central station is not so kid friendly if you have car seats or strollers as there is no elevators only escalators .

We enjoyed our stay at the Fairmont. concierge staff in particular was very helpful,
We went to Bell Centre to watch the Canadiens and were disappointed that room service had closed at 10pm, also I enquired to room service about a phone charger. They had said that the could bring one to the room but never showed up

It was surprising that the hotel doesn’t provide free WiFi to guests, and the hotel still charge for movies in the room, when traveling with young kids make sure kids don’t order movie from the room - it’s a ripoff $25/movie

This is an excellent location to walk everywhere, from Ste Catherine's street to Le Plateau to the Bell Centre for a Canadiens game. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The only (surprising) negative is that the walls are so thin, we could hear the conversations in the room next to us.
