The hotel is adorable, lovely breakfast service. Bar and restaurant on site, only 3 blocks from main shopping area and subway station. The rooms are on the smaller side but bathrooms and shower are spacious. Next time I will request a room with balcony or terrace overlooking the courtyard which is adorable.

Conveniently located, the staff here are exceptional. Breakfast was excellent and the garden area is a nice place to relax any time of the day. The only complaint I have is the pillows on the bed are very hard but as I’ve discovered, that’s the norm in Italy. I would definitely stay here again.

Hospitality lacking from tired hotel
The manager/ host on reception in the evenings was very inhospitable. Whilst he did what was required, he ignored me at times whilst I was there, didn't greet me warmly, gave rude instructions to his staff, and generally was in a bad mood every time I engaged with him. It made my stay unenjoyable, and made me much more attuned to the other issues in the hotel, such as the worn state of the rooms and some issues with cleanliness. I ended up having to change rooms because the first one had a smell and old cigarette butts on the balcony. The rest of the staff are lovely but I believe they're being managed poorly because when I was getting breakfast one staff member (politely) interrupted me whilst I was serving myself to ensure I signed for breakfast. Getting me to sign is fine, but it was awkward because there was no process for this - I had my hands full and was standing at the buffet in front of other guests. It indicated to me that for the management, hospitality is a low priority. It's a shame, because all of the staff were super friendly otherwise and trying their best, particularly the bar staff and the porters.

the street that hotel sanpi is located in offers a good choice of reasonable priced restaurants. it is about a 5min walk to corso buenos aires a fabulous shoppping street (with more eating options) and from there. you can head to the Piazza Duomo.

The pictures on the site are deceiving . Our room was nothing like in the pictures and definitely not worth what we paid for. It’s comfortable and clean.

Wow what a great find. Hotel Sanpi is in a great area, a short walk from the metro, bars and shops. The hotel staff were very friendly and there was a great bar and garden in the hotel. Breakfast was from 7 every morning until 11. We were travelling every day to the Rho Fieramilano exhibition centre and caught the metro from the local Venezia station. This red M1 line takes you past the Duomo and out to Rho at the end of the line. We bought 3 day tickets at 13 euros so very cheap. We also took the Metro to the canal where there are great restaurants and bars. The rooms at Sanpi are comfortable and clean, I enjoyed the shower. There’s a mini supermarket around the corner and you can walk through the park to the posh shops to the Duomo in about 20 minutes. Hotel could do with milk for the coffee in the bedroom but sure they’d have provided it if we’d asked. There’s a mini fridge and a safe in the wardrobe. I was at the front of the hotel and it was very quiet, even my colleague who was by the lift said he didn’t hear it.

Our room wasn’t very nice. Mould in the shower lights broken, unfixed tiles on the floor, hair on the pillow on entry, limescale build up outside the shower, chipped sink just to name a few I will follow up with a picture review on google as sadly the hotel did not want to apologise or even speak to me about what I had reported to Expedia

Staff was great. We had no place to leave the car for check-in, but the staff was very responsive and helpful with that. Very much appreciated. Room was a good size but dark, and the lighting was not great.

I was in Milan for just one night and booked this hotel because it was between the train station and La Scala, where I had tickets. Hotel reception/staff was great. In fact my room was ready when I arrived at 10am from an overnight flight from NY. I booked a twin room and so it was small but it had a nice window onto the courtyard. It was probably last decorated in the 1980s—the walls done in a sky blue paint wash. It was a little noisy. While I was trying to nap at about 4:30pm a vacuum cleaner was running for about 45 minutes. Breakfast was very good. The location was convenient for me but the neighborhood seemed a little run down. I didn’t feel entirely safe when I was walking back from the opera at midnight because I couldn’t get a taxi. That said, I made it back without incident and Milan generally seems a little run down. I would stay here again if I couldn’t find something better, which seems vey possible for Milan.

The hotel was not as close to downtown as i expected, but it is very close to transit and there are many restaurants nearby. The breakfast was fantastic and the room was nice. The gym is small and basic; not great. Friendly helpfull staff.

The staff was wonderful and having the courtyard in the evening was wonderful to have to relax and have a cocktail and some food, it felt like an extension to your room. It was very lovely.

This is a boutique hotel close to the train station and duomo, both about 13-15 min walk. Lobby and common areas are very tranquil dour to a garden inside! The breakfast is sufficient, bar very nice and staff is truly wonderful. We enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend it!
