"We stayed for one night, the staff were very accommodating as I had to increase the number of people staying. The room was clean and tidy and the separate toilet/shower room looked fresh and newly renovated. The staff were able to provide gluten free meals and the food and drink was also really good. Would recommend as conveniently located and the service and accommodation was very good. Thanks again."

"The Akama Resort is a high quality apartment resort. The rooms are large, spotlessly clean, with all you would need for a great family stay. The location is perfect for whale watching trips as it is only a 5 minute walk to Hervey Bay marina. There are several good quality restaurants and bars nearby."

"This was a great little spot on the island and the unit was clean and very spacious. Adele was super friendly and helpful and ensured that we had the baby items we needed for our grandson. It would have been nice to have the basics: salt, pepper and oil for cooking. These are all available at the general store but very expensive of course. There was no means to brew a pot of coffee but Adele kindly gave us the use of her own personal French press."
