Stayed here for five nights. The hotel is nice and in a great location, easy to walk to Queensway or Bayswater station and not too far from Paddington station. We checked in early and they had no issue with it, the only thing was that the only rooms available were in the lower level. We didn't mind, as we were not planning on being there other than at night to sleep. The construction did not seem to be an issue at all for us and was only visible on the outside. The lobby was nice and clean and the staff was nice as well.
After the third night, we noticed there seemed to be a leak coming from the wall from under the sink, leaking some rust-colored water. We informed the front desk immediately and they told us they'd get it fixed while we were gone. When we got back at night it was still there (I do think they tried fixing it but it just didn't work) and they moved us to a new room.
The new room was MUCH bigger and nicer but still seemed to be a standard double. It seemed to be in the newly renovated part of the hotel and was on a different floor, although still on the lower level. The first room was very very tiny so the new one was much more comfortable. Just know the images while booking aren't necessarily what the rooms look like.
Altogether it was nice and for the price, it was definitely good enough. I would stay here again.
