This a beautiful hotel located in the ducal palace of Lerma. With helpful staff and a commanding view of the town and surrounding countryside, it’s worth a visit.
Lerma is a beautiful place to relax and the parador is amazing. Also great restaurant. The surroundings are nice and safe, but all is closed Monday and Tuesday
Hotel and it's location are incredible. Staff are great. Secure underground parking if needed. If wanting to stay in the area, I'd recommend here and enjoy the rural setting with Burgos just a 30 minute drive away.

Perfect as always. The parador is really amazing, as well as very clean and comfortable - but the staff are the crowning glory. Friendly, efficient and professional. The town of Lerma is so olde worlde Spanish too, with narrow cobbled streets, little local bars & a lovely little informative visitor centre and beautiful surroundings/views over the countryside. Well worth a visit but also perfectly placed for an overnight en route to Bilbao or Santander

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
The staff were very helpful and the room was clean and well presented. Our only criticism is that the property is quite tired and in need of updating.
We love Lerma and was excited about staying in the Parador. However we were not aware of the gardens being closed and work being carried out prior to arrival.
Check in staff were friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was good.
I felt as if I was staying in a royal palace. The architecture and decor was simply stunning. Everything was immaculately clean, and the staff was friendly. A very peaceful and beautiful small town.
At LERMAR to drive to small villages north and south
Great home base in historic building
Very nicely done restoration of rooms with lovely marble bathrooms with Victorian size bath tubs, luxurious linens and beds , wonderful views etc
Out of seven hotels I stayed in , it was the best and a bargain at the price.
We absolutely loved it. The every single member of staff we met were really friendly and helpful - the bar is absolutely amazing, the food was excellent- the room was beautiful- nothing whatsoever to complain about - and to top it off - the price was below expectations- we will be back
Just stopped over on a road trip and was blown away by this beautiful little village and parador just off the autovia. The hotel itself is an incredible classic building and my attic room was comfortable.Staff were friendly. couldn't ask for more.
We had a lovely stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The building was stunning. The room was good, though there was a slight smell from the drains. You couldn't ask for a more convenient spot to see Lerma. Would I stay again, Definitely
Most things were absolutely excellent, check in was very smooth and efficient, extremely polite staff member looked after us and we were escorted to the lift, which was a different lift to our previous visit so that was useful.
Hotel is absolutely magical, great rooms, really comfortable bed, nice bathroom, plenty of towels...and i managed to get the tv sound in English so Mrs could watch endless repeats of Blue Bloods...better than Spanish TV, which sadly is a low bar.
Checkout also extremely efficient and courteous.
2 points for me - the food menu you can see using the online service is very different to the one posted outside the restaurant...the former has far more choice and the prices are cheaper, so it must be the old version, and it was disappointing to arrive at the restaurant to find some choices we expected were not there, and prices for the remaining items. Also, we booked breakfast at reception for day 2 of our stay, but when we arrived for breakfast there was no record of our booking and the young man did not know what to do, though evebtually it was sorted. Then the coffee was rank rotten (overboiled, not fresh) and the hot food was, well, lukewarm if i am being generous.
2 very small points but over the piece i would say 9+ out of 10, and i look forward to our next visit.
Absolutely wonderful! This beautiful property has been seen many times from the main road & we decided to stay one night on our way back to the north of Spain. Excellent under hotel parking which is very secure. The staff were all very welcoming even before we checked in. At Reception we were welcomed & checked in by a delightful charming Man who obviously loves this place. What a place this Palace is. Large & rambling, comfortable & welcoming. We had been informed that it was Fiesta time in Lerma. It did not deter us from a wonderful wander around this beautiful town filled with lovely, smiley people who just made the place so vibrant & charming. Dinner was taken in the Parador, as always food fantastic. Dining Hall very atmospheric & just a joy to see. Staff very attentive to my dietary needs with nothing too much trouble. Music at 5am was not ideal but the Hotel had placed us in a suite at the back in an attempt to mitigate the problem. Breakfast brilliant as always. We fell in love with Lerma & this beautiful Parador with its fantastic staff. Look forward to returning on our next trip. A huge thank you to all staff for their welcome.
Beautiful building , good service at the front desk and the restaurant. However you get a sense you are getting into a government building with austere, tired decor.
Room Bathrooms need remodeling
I had dinner at the restaurant. The service was excellent however the food was subpar. The onion soup we ordered was lukewarm and tasteless. The medium rare steak we ordered was completely raw, we sent it back for further cooking.
Overall I would give our experience a 7 out of 10.
This was an excellent choice. We have stayed in Lerma before en route to the Santander ferry but have opted for more modest accommodation.
I decided to spend a little more and boy was it worth it. The only negative was our late arrival and early start, so we did not have much time to enjoy the surroundings, so next time we will be sure to arrive sooner.
Reception could not have been friendlier or more helpful, both arriving and departing. We were escorted to the lift. We were on floor 4, and the riom signage was not as helpful as it could be, and as it is quite dark it is difficult to see the room numbers...until you realize they are on the tiles and not the door.
The room was superb, with a fabulous bed, very comfortable, my best night's sleep in the 3 month visit to Spain. Also the bathroom is huge, and lots of opulent touches.
We had some drinks in the lounge area...la Bodeguita. It was very relaxing. The dinner menu was varied and encouraging but after a long drive nibbling various items in the car i did not think i would do it justice so we skipped dinner. Next time.
There is a market on Wednesday mornings so we could not park in Plaza Major to the front of the hotel. The underground hotel car park is €14 per night, which i felt was expensive, as there was plenty of alternative street parking close by.
We will definitely return.
