well, at first, I was puzzled as I arrived and could not get through the big gates; however, they eventually opened. It's a beautiful place and I saw it in the heavy snow. The fully functioning 16th century manor occupied by a golf club is a delight, even for a non-golfer. The room was amazing even though it was not a part of the main building. I recommend that gents wear a tie and jacket if they want to get into the club bar (outdated, especially if you're paying to stay and have no idea of the rules) Anyway the stay was great and if you like eccentric, quirky places then this is defiantly for you.
oh’ and the Breakfast is to die for.
