We got upgraded which was nice! But the inconvenience was that they upgraded us to a floor that the elevator will not work on. The elevator doesnt open or let you off at the floor. Which meant we had to take the stairs which had my asthma going nuts. Overall it was great

Due to a massive snow storm, we were unable to get to Halifax in time however Megan and especially Rose at the Front Desk were the ambassadors for the Westin as they very professionally and impeccably handled our reservation crisis. Our room 604 main light switch had no power. The bathroom doorway was so tiny we had to walk sideways to get in. The pillows rolled and bunched up. When we went to tell them in the morning, they said why didn't you complain.I replied why did you give us a terrible room to begin with.

Excellent service and staff. The property is old and has significant wear and tear. The age of the property was reflected in my room. Some broken tiles, a tilted (fixed that way) mirror and generally older state furniture did not inspire a comfortable space. The hotel is also located across from a park with an apparent tent-city encampment and the front desk staff strongly recommended against walking alone in the area as they felt it would be unsafe. This property's saving grace is its courteous and supportive staff. The physical space is old and outdated and I would not recommend it to others.

The rooms were clean and well attended. The staff were friendly. We had a voucher for 2 days, and I called ahead to reserve the room for 1 more day on our own. Nevertheless, the room cards/ keys ceased working after the 1st 2 days. Front desk staff found my other reservation after a bit of looking. Would’ve been better to connect the 2 contiguous reservations under the same name (reserved with credit card). I brought this up when checking in, to no avail. We were accommodated after a while.

Famous Halifax hotel. My stay was great. The room was comfortable and I appreciated the bottled water left every day. Had an issue with the door lock battery but an engineer was sent up quickly and solved the issue. Great staff. The restaurant was also great. Good service and lots of options in addition to the buffet.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The only feedback as that the pool elevator was under maintenance which made accessing the pool somewhat more difficult, but other than that there was not a single portion of my stay that I would say needed improvement.
