We were a couple, here for 6 days and it was excellent! Well located, comfortable, excellent hosts - a great way to see the NW of Basse-Terre ! We would thoroughly recommend it to others

Back to the Bungalow
Our second year at Piton Bungalows. Last year we set out most days we set our to explore Guadeloupe. This year, it was much easier. We made breakfast every morning in our little kitchen, shared our bread with the birds. Then headed down to the beach at Grand Anse for sun, surf, lunch, more swimming. Then back to the bungalow, dip in the pool, ti punch, nap, dinner in Deshaies. Every day was the same. Every night, the wind blew thru our bedroom, lulling us to sleep. We live a rustic life style on our island, we were 1500 miles away and felt right at home. It was the most relaxing vacation ever. Valerie and Matthieu are gracious hosts whether making a dinner reservation or sending you to their favorite beach. They arranged dinner on our arrival and as always the ingredients for your ti punch will be waiting for you.

Property was in very good condition, easy to find, location is ok, you need a car for everything, but it's not very hard, No mosquito net on window and no glass as well. Kitchen , bathroom are in very good condition and equipped well. So overall is very good place.

A perfect home away from home
We had a fantastic stay at Piton Bungalows. We have a very specific set of desires and needs when we travel: 1.) a fantastic view and 2.) accommodations that are like a home, i.e. a separate sleeping area, a functional kitchen and hosts that are like friendly concerned neighbors. We had all of these at Bungalows Piton. Valérie and Matthieu were extremely knowledgeable and helpful. The view from our Bungalow #3 was a wide open vista of the sea and nearby hills. As a bonus, my wife and I are fanatical dog lovers, and we were adopted by a neighbor's dog, Ti Chou. If we could have snuck her on the plane home, it might have happened. The bungalows are up in the hills, and are blessed with cooling trade winds. No need for AC or fans.

A Gem of a place
A fantastic place to stay, great hosts, and the location is ideal for chilling and sightseeing. This place is perfect to experience the "real" Caribbean and the local beaches are absolutely beautiful.

Amazing place to relax
Valerie is so knowledgeable about activities on Guadeloupe. She gave us espresso and naked on a map all of the places corresponding to what we wanted to do. Hiking, snorkeling (gsve us fins + masks). Having a washer/dryer onsite and a beautiful pool are added bonuses. The hiking and beaches are amazing. The outdoor kitchen was wonderful to cook and hang out on the deck. There is even a hammock. Wonderful escape

Lovely setting. Super friendly host.
We loved it here. We were made to feel very welcome by Claudia who was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We found beautiful uncrowned beaches and great walks in the rain forest. Lots of choice for great places to eat. We hired a car for the fortnight and definitely needed it.

Very special accommodation, away from it all.
Valerie and Matthieu are very special hosts, and made us feel very welcome and at home in their beautiful bungalows. My case had been mislaid on arrival in Paris and so no clothes for two days! Valerie went out of her way to help, contacting the airline several times on my behalf and even ended lending me some clothes, how special is that. The outside kitchen is great, and well equipped there is even a barbeque for each bungalow so catering for yourself is easy. Valerie speaks English well and is very knowledgable about the whole island and where best to go for what you want to do.

Comfortable open air bungalows in a great location
We absolutely loved or 10 days at Piton Bungalows. The location is amazing, close to gorgeous beaches, great hiking, swimming in waterfalls (!) It is quiet and restful. Valerie and Matthieu are gracious hosts- they waited for us past 8 pm to welcome us, and had a delicious hot meal waiting for us when we arrived (you can request this and I highly recommend you do if you'll be arriving late). We will definitely return because we couldn't get enough of this beautiful place!!

Lovely, open air bungalows. Handsomely built from native woods. Simply decorated. Though there is so much to do and see on Basse Terre, I thoroughly enjoyed lingering over morning coffee, or a pre-dinner drink at the bungalow.

Loved my Bungalow
We just came back from Guadalupe and Piton Bungalows a few days ago. We loved everything about our stay there. Great bungalow with open air living area and kitchen, we also loved the open air (but private) shower. The hosts Valérie et Matthieu were so friendly and helpful with all sorts of advice. We came in late and it was great to have some Ti Punch waiting for us to help relax after a long day there with a delayed flight. They even had swim fins and masks we could use for snorkeling. Very happy with the value we got as well at Piton.

Alles easy & nice, angefangen von der sehr netten und lieben Kommunikation mit dem sehr sympathischen Gastgeberpärchen, bis hin zur absolut genial, schön und praktikabel gestalteten Unterkunft und deren unmittelbaren Umgebung (Pool, Waschmaschine/Trockner...). Die Verortung der Unterkunft strahlt eine so "magische" Stimmung aus (Naturgeräusche und trotzdem eine schöne "Art" von "Ruhe", Außenküche, Hängesessel, Wind(zug) zum "Abkühlen" am Abend...). Gerne wieder :-)

Super séjour dans ce très bel établissement, bien décoré (avec goût) et excellent accueil (merci Thierry). Piscine accessible à volonté, très agréable et bungalows magnifiques avec tout l'équipement utile pour un séjour en toute liberté. On y retournera ! Bravo et merci à toute l'équipe.

Cadre magnifique et propriétaires super sympas
Nous avons passé un super séjour, le cadre est magnifique tout est décoré et fait avec goût, le bungalow chaleureux, confortable et pratique avec une vue superbe. Le jardin est magnifique aussi, se réveiller tout les matins dans cet univers a été un pur plaisir. La petite piscine est super sympa pour se détendre, la bibliothèque est une bonne idée et nous a ravi aussi, tout est bien pensé. Les propriètaires sont très accueillants et ont été on ne peut plus aidants et arrangeants suite à un changement de programme à l'arrivée, je n'arrive même pas à trouver un truc négatif à dire, nous avons passé de superbes vacances et c'est clairement l'hébergement parmi les 3 de notre séjour, que nous avons adoré

Un lit inconfortable, mais au paradis.
Accueil très sympathique des propriétaires. Jardin luxuriant et très bien entretenu. Agréable petit coin piscine. Très gros bémol, une literie d’une autre époque. Lit très bas et matelas complètement affaissé pour n’en pas dire plus. Une armoire pour ranger quelques affaires serait bienvenue.

Merci à Valérie et Mathieu pour leur accueil très chaleureux et leurs conseils.Les cottages sont très agréables et sympathiques nichés sur un coteau à la végétation luxuriante . L équipement est satisfaisant et le soir prendre un petit planteur sur sa terrasse est un vrai bonheur . A recommander pour ceux qui n aiment pas les complexes hôteliers surchargés et impersonnels.

Beautiful bungalow set among lush vegetation.
Valérie and Matthieu who run these traditional style bungalows are a lovely couple who immediately make you feel at home. They are there everyday and help you plan your trip so that you get the most from your stay, Valerie also speaks very good English. I fell in love with Guadeloupe. There is so much to see and do besides relaxing on the beach, soaking up the sun. It can be windy, but for us, this was part of its charm. Although not a must, we found it useful to have some French.

Les proprios sont adorables, ambiance familiale. Ils nous ont donnés pleins de conseils parlé de coins à voir dont les guides ne parlent pas. Lieu parfait si on veut aller faire de grosses marches dans la jungle.

La nature au milieu de la nature
Si vous aimez les chambres aseptisée des chaine d'hôtel 5 étoiles ce n'est pas ce qu'il vous faut. Ici c'est la nature, la nature et la nature. Au ronflement des ascenseurs nous préférons les chants des oiseaux, aux hordes de " teutons" pas très discret nous préférons le croassements des grenouilles

« Séjour magique dans ce cadre exceptionnel »
Pour les amoureux de la nature et de la découverte, Piton bungalows est "l'adresse" incontournable de la Guadeloupe situé sur les hauteurs de Deshaies et près de la plage de Grande Anse. Une « super » semaine dans un bungalow en bois surélevé, décoré avec gout et tout équipé au milieu de la végétation luxuriante. Calme et repos assuré. Quel plaisir de prendre son petit-déjeuner sur la terrasse ouverte en compagnie des poules, des oiseaux et des lézards. La nuit est bercée par le chant des grenouilles. Pas de moustique dans ce lieu magique. Que du bonheur… Merci à Valérie et Mathieu pour l’accueil, le ti-punch et les indications de visites. Ce sont des personnes adorables, simples et toujours prêtes à rendre service ou à échanger sur notre journée tout en étant discrets... Ces personnes méritent amplement nos félicitations. Nous reviendrons sans hésitation avec enfants ou amis… Brigitte et Vincent (séjour du 26/11 au 03/12/16)

A place away from home
We travel a lot but I have to say this is the best place we have stayed in so far. Super nice bungalows with own kitchen so we made breakfast and dinner every day. We stayed here for 5 days and it really felt like home. Nice swimming pool, pretty garden and washingmachine use is free. Everything you need they have! The owners are super friendly and helpful and speak English well. At night you fall asleep to the sound of the crickets and frogs. We had a wonderful time and were sad we had to leave. Piton Bungalows is a nice location to explore Basse Terre.
