The staff at this hotel were outstanding. Without a doubt the best customer service we have received anywhere in a long time. Miranda at the front desk was so welcoming & helpful. We also had fantastic service at dinner in the bar, they were super accommodating to our children, there wasn’t a children menu but they offered to make them child friendly meals. Simon our waiter was so friendly & nothing was too much trouble. The food here is delicious, don’t stay without eating here. I would come to this hotel just to eat! The pool here is lovely, so warm & with young children that’s important. Seating is available round the pool so if you have older children you can just sit in comfort & watch. Again the staff in the leisure centre are very helpful & friendly. We didn’t come across one member of staff who wasn’t kind & engaged with guests. The room was large, the bathroom & brown carpet needed an update but it was clean & functional. Location close to M3 is also great & the fact they allow dogs is a huge plus. Overall a wonderful stay.

Only slight problem was the shower. Couldn't make it work. The taps in the bath were working but after fiddling with th3 shower settings I gave up. No joy. Other than that it was very good.

Only issue was unable to link up to hotel Wi-Fi and my mobile signal in my hotel room was poor to none existent. Otherwise everything else was great.

Very friendly and helpful staff. The place is dated but clean and comfortable. Good parking. Quiet room facing the courtyard. Lots of working people staying during the week so no parties.

Terrible room and poor customer service
I spent two nights in this hotel, door to the bathroom was broken, extractor fan in the bathroom was permanently on . Complained to reception offered me a breakfast which i declined my only expectation of this stay was to get as good nights sleep which was not my experience. My subsequent complaint email has also been ignored.

Rundown Neglected Hotel
So our stay at this hotel was extremely disappointing despite the best efforts of the staff to make it a bit more comfortable. Positives The staff were friendly and tried their best, the rooms were a good size, the beds were comfortable and the shower had good pressure with plenty of hot water. Negatives The whole place is tired and could do with refurbishment. In the rooms themselves it is not possible to control the radiator temperature and it was so hot we had no choice but to sleep with the windows open all night in December which isn’t ideal when it is by a main road. In the 1st room we had, 1 of the windows was broken and wouldn’t close properly (even if we wanted it closed) and the bathroom fan would not turn off meaning we had no sleep. The next day the manager tried her best to upgrade us to a different larger room but we had the same issue with the radiator. The bathroom had been refurbished but there was no toilet holder or rail for the towels and this time the extractor fan didn’t work at all. The breakfast could have been good, it was cooked to order with nice bakery produce, but they had run out of hash browns and tomatoes. The reason we had booked this hotel was because it had a spa which we planned to use however it was closed the entire time we were there and we had been given no notification this would be the case. It is clear this hotel is being run on a shoe string with no investment. It is run down and even simple cheap improvements have been overlooked.

Good, but the bed let it down
Good stay. Breakfast was really tasty. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Room was big enough, shower was an over the bath shower. It probably does need a decor update, but nothing that would put you off. But the bed was awful. Felt ever spring.

This was good. Nice gym decent size rooms. Comfortable. The restaurants have daily meal speacials with a drink that are a good value.

Very good accommodation for the price. Only let down by condition of bathroom. Basin hot tap only trickle of water. Basin plug not holding water. Noisy bathroom fan unable to turn off. But would definitely stay again.

The price of breakfast (£20.00!) nearly put me off booking the stay, but when I got there they had offers for 1/2 price so they should fix that, IMHO. I will stay again. Staff were friendly enough!

This is an old hotel. But the rooms are big, the bathrooms are big. Food portions were generous and modestly priced. The pool was good, steam room and sauna nice and hot. And the price was great

Lovely hotel
Double room was lovely. Very clean and comfortable, the room was a little cold to start with but warmed up in no time once the heating was on. Plenty of car parking space each evening, good water pressure in the bathrooms, and a comfy bed.

Damp mouldy horrible
Stayed in room 103 , net curtains were mouldy , room smelt damp made me feel.ill coulndt sleep due to the overwhelming smell , xhecked out at 7am to go and sleep in the car for a few hours

Comfy stay
We’ve booked one night here at first, then we decided to go there one day before and booked one more day. We told the reception lady when we arrived check in, she said it’s ok, no need to do the check in again and we could stay in the same room. The next day at ten mins before ten, a housekeeper locked on our door and told us to check out. We’re surprised and told her our case, she told us to check with the reception. Then the reception said we’ve to check out and come back by 4 to check in again. To our disappointment, we asked if we could have other options, she said pay for late check out until noon only 🙁, Whats the point? After we’ve packed all things to get out of the room, another lady walked by and told us we could stay and keep the room, we appreciated her so much. Then the reception phoned us and said we could stay and we asked if there’s housekeeper cleaning, she said yes and we told us we’ll leave at 11am and let her inform them to do housekeeping. We went back at the evening and found that no housekeeper came do the housekeeping, nothing refilled at all. We’re very disappointed with the communications of this hotel and hope they will improve in the future. The pool was good but need to pay. The name of hotel is confusing.

Staff needs better training. It was impossible to get answers to simple questions such as “how can I get to London?”- “I have no idea, I don’t go there”… room was hot, even with the AC on. Had to keep the fan on all night. Nothing to do around the property, eating choices are the pub (closed on Sundays) or Domino’s pizza.

Not the best.
The check in was fine, room was ok, pillows very uncomfortable, shower was good. The changing rooms at the pool left a lot to be desired. Changing room with a hole where the lock should be, so attempting to change in private was stressful with the possibility of someone pulling open the door. The restaurant was awful. Arrived at 1850, left at 2110. This experience spoiled what had been a nice day. I had symapathy for the waitress, although it wasn’t terribly busy but I do understand that things can go wrong. However my sympathy evaporated after she brought my main after well over an hour wait and I asked if my dessert could be brought straight out ( I didn’t want to finish my main and then have another 30/45 min wait) Alas, this is exactly what happened after TWICE being asked by two other staff members what my dessert was and also after the couple across from me, who came in well after me receiving their dessert not even 5 minutes after ordering. It was farcical and not even an explanation, just an empty, I’m sorry for your wait.
