The Goulding Cottage PLUS LOFT - playground, fire pit, farm animals, family fun!

On your visit to Bryce Canyon, enjoy this quiet, historic pioneer homestead in the heart of Bryce Valley. Each room in the Goulding Cottage reflects a little piece of southern Utah's pioneer heritage with themes related to the pioneers' faith, overseas travel, covered wagon trek, Bryce canyon, Paiute neighbors, etc.

The Goulding Cottage was built by the Goulding family, only a couple of generations after their original pioneer ancestors settled Henrieville. The house was built more than 100 years ago. While we have made major renovations, it is still a very old farmhouse! The main floor has 3 bedrooms, 4 beds, 2.5 baths, and can accommodate 6 guests

Please Note: The upstairs loft and bedrooms are more suited to children as there is a lower ceiling. The loft has two bedrooms, 4 twin beds, a TV room with a couch and air mattress and can accommodate 5 guests.

Other features include an outdoor grill and fire pit, playground with swings, slide, climbing wall, playhouse, trampoline, hammock, and even farm animals to feed!

This is a very quiet neighborhood (except for all the animal sounds!) and we ask that you be respectful of our neighbors.

Dirty house!!
The cottage was charming on the outside, but it was disgusting inside. A layer a dust on every area. Floors were not cleaned, we used a wet wipe and it came up black. Bathrooms and windows were the worst, dead bugs and dust along the shelves and sills. Carpets are old and grimy with a layer of dust along the sides of furnitures. Even the kids plates were not clean when we got there. Up stairs there was only one bed. Otherwise it was mattresses on the floor. Bugs were crazy upstairs and would be found on the kids bed all the time. The laundry room lights never worked. Back yard was fun for the kids, but a bit of a junk yard in the animal area. Disappointed at the amount we spent renting this house. Worst place we have stayed at.

The cottage is a neat little spot tucked into the edge of the park. Very accessible to the park and a nice quiet place to get away. The farm animals are a neat plus. The owner is constantly improving so can’t wait to see it come together over time!

Beautiful quaint place with lots of space and character!
We loved this place. We were able to go hike at Bryce canyon a short drive away. Did fires in the evenings. Loved seeing the animals here. The home was spacious and kitchen had plenty of tools. Loved the washer and dryer! Fun decor and LOVED that there was a piano! Thank you so much! Wonderful place. Nice beds. :).

Functional but a bit like indoor camping.
Met our needs, but was surprised that part of the ceiling was missing, bare wires exposed in several places throughout the house, some outlets didn’t work and could have used a good dusting. Not sure if some of it was up to code. Also missing smoke detectors and such.
