I’ve been a licensed Architect for more than a half a century in California and recently did a tour of seven hotels in the Cotswold’s. I chose the ones that I thought would be the most interesting.
This one is it!
The others were impressive examples of structures built for the upper classes. This one is a tribute to the Working Class.
The Mill has two Waterwheels which, although built a century apart, are each an example of the Highest Technology of their time. Whoever turned this into a hotel did a marvelous job of blending this factory type environment into a pleasant, restful, lovely place while exposing you to that Technology. They preserved your ability to experience the time period by not overly modernizing it.
Beautiful Water Gardens, Very good Food & the Staff are very Welcoming, Friendly, and Knowledgeable …. I would especially like to thank Charlie, she does an excellent job. Cheers!
