The house was very comfortable and roomy. The only thing that was a bit troubling was there no soap in the shower and the TV in the bedroom was difficult to operate. But our family had a wonderful getaway in beautiful Galena.

We had a nice time staying at the property and using the amenities available. Had enough space to sleep 8 adults comfortably and no issues getting in. House was clean and neighborhood was quiet.

Needs updates and deep clean
We arrived to a see that everything in this home looked just like the pictures. We turned up the AC (was one of the hottest days of the summer) to find out it wasn’t working. Called the property manager and she immediately sent HVAC out to discover that it was not fixable. She gave us the option to stay at the property with one night at no charge or to move to another home nearby which we did and it was much nicer at the rate of this home. Regarding the deep clean….there were cobwebs in windows, broken window cranks, and it smelled like smokers lived there not to mention the bedding and furniture was very dated. We will not choose this home to book ever again. We did, however, book the second property for next year!

It was perfect for us.. other than maybe to many levels with steps.. we are all elderly.. but it was a beautiful home.. we loved the hot tub.. pool table.. we just like to stay and play cards.. we don’t care to go out much.. so we brought all our own food.. it was perfect

mites on main level of house
There were mites on the main level for bedroom and bathroom, and all the bedding of her friends had to throw away all her toiletries and make up since the mites Got into everything. Management service was not concerned at all about this and refused to give us any money Back This trip was not relaxing at all. It was extremely stressful, and the house was not that clean bugs debt all over the place.

Beds were great, we all slept great. Very quite location, small ant problem and lower level tub could use a better cleaning. It may have not been rented for a while, there was dead bugs in tub and on floors. A review awhile back said that the coffee maker took forever to brew, I would agree that it needs a new one. But overall great stay.

Found a worm in one of the beds. Coffee pot took over an hour to fill. I feel we should have been able to use the garage. With temp below 25 degrees. Other wise everything else was good.

Needs major updates
Very bad smell, walls very dirty and mismatched paint everywhere. Furniture is old (cracked/worn/broken) and bedding was old/very outdated too. The couch fibers were broken/torn. Layout was nice and really could have worked. Fresh coat of paint, some new furniture, and new bedding would definitely help!

Want to get away
We enjoyed our stay. This is the second time that we have stayed in this house. We did run into internet problems in the basement with the tv not wanting to connect to it but we did get by. Looking forward to renting it again in the near future. Thanks for a great stay.

House has more than ample space. 4 bedrooms with queen /kind beds and each has a bathroom. There is a fift bedroom with two twin beds. House could be updated but served us well as far as space. Kitchen well stocked with plates / silverware and pots. Had both coffee pot as well as Keurig. Amenities such as pool, tennis courts are fantastic. One challenge with house is the bedroom on second story. A/C struggles to cool this room. Had temp set at 68 degrees and kids sleeping in basement froze while this bedroom upstairs needed both oscillating fans to be computable while only sleeping with a sheet.

This property is not worth the money being charged. The master bedroom and bath had dead bugs and dust bunnies, the mattress was lumpy and old. The shower door was about to fall off, the sink faucet spurt out water at you. The furniture in the living room and dining room were very worn and threadbare. The screen door to the hot tub came off track and was reported but not repaired. Refrigerator did not cool food properly, had to use coolers. All in all not worth the money and would not stay there again. Very disappointing...

Perfect fit for our group
