Had requested a room on the top floor even called them a few days before and they said no problem they would do that when I got there it was a second floor and they said no other rooms were available and the rooms were very dusty

The hotel has different wings that only connect in certain places which made finding the room harder than it should have been. Additionally, our room wasn't well sound insulated and we could hear everything going on in the hallway and every door that was left to shut on it's own on what seemed to be the entire level. It was so loud that we were constantly being woke up by what was going on in the hallway. While passing the pool on the way to our room, we noticed the water was extremely cloudy and didn't seem appealing. The shower handle that controlled the water temp was so loose that it would fall due to gravity and make the water cold. The bottom of the shower was shaped like a bowl so you never had a flat place to stand, it was like showering in half pipe. It was such a disappointing experience. We also were put into an adjacent room with a girl that we weren't told was going to be the case so we were able to listen to her doing whatever she was doing. I would expect a Super 8 to be a better experience.

Everything was fairly clean except the pool was the most filthy we’ve seen and there was a lot of garbage around the outside of the property. The hallway to our room had a terrible odor like sulfur. We also had to take cold showers in the morning. Breakfast was good though and the fitness room was clean and had a good variety of equipment to use. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Pool area was filthy with hair balls everywhere in the drains around the area. Absolutely gross to walk around the pool. There were only 11 seats in the entire pool area for people to sit. One family came in a scarfed up 8/11 seats and tools 3 tables. So the rest of the families stood around while their kids swam.

I called ahead before I booked to verify the pool and hot tub were both open. Was told yes. Get there and they are cleaning the hot tub and we couldn’t use it. Disappointing.

Cleanliness was below average in general, many pool/room towels were stained. The pool and hot tub area were not clean. Do not recommend the breakfast, we ended eating elsewhere.

The hotel is quite grungy and worn and could really use a remodel update. It’s time for a refresh! Rooms are dim and unclean. The pool area does not have enough available seating for its guests and was usually out of towels. The kids were getting scrapes on their feet from the pool. Linens & towels had stains on them. I would no longer recommend this hotel.

We have stayed at La Quinta (Fargo) several times already. With each visit, we are greeted with friendly staff, and shown clean rooms. The hotel is close to a major street, making this location easy to access shopping and dining venues. On our first visit a few years ago, there was a Manager’s special feature, offering free beverages and food from 4 - 6pm. This feature appears to be discontinued. While we never availed ourselves of this, I can understand how valuable this feature might be for a travelling family. The hot breakfast is good, however. One off-putting issue at our last visit was the odor permeating the bathroom — we noticed it when we first entered the suite. Later, we thought it must be due to the rather pungent taste of the water. I’m not sure if this is now a persistent issue with this hotel, or, if the Fargo water system is to blame, but it brought our rating down one star.

It was clean enough, but should be listed that the hotel is all pet friendly and not just a certain area. Lots of dogs barking and quite noisy. When asked about different room options was not helped.
