My review is mixed. Great things: Well appointed, plenty of linens, comfortable bed, hot shower. Kitchen was stocked and the location is one mile from skiing. Everything Colorado, with fresh mountain air and views of the mountains and trees,
Things that need improvement: Management Company Issues. The directions say 29 miles outside of Durango. They should include, one mile from Purgatory ski entrance. Inside Cascade VIllage. Name on building - SNOWDEN. That the directional signs with number inside the multi-building complex are not lit at night, so look for them closely.
We arrived at Cascase VIllage based on context clues, and asked someone standing in front of the lodge where to find unit #337 and we were told there was no 300+; and the Aspen Glow name (which doesn't match the building name) really threw them for a loop.
We then called the front desk after hours number on the lodge door and we were told the same thing, though they were happy to give us another number to call for a supervisor.
I gave up and called Vacasa (which I hate, because they are so very far removed from the actual property; and tend to re-read the same information I read, only slower). I did get someone who was sympathetic and able to confirm Cascade Village, but they had no additional information, and at one point had the until number confused with another rental property onsite.
My husband finally started walking inside buildings until we could figure out the number system.
These are all issues that started our stay on the WRONG FOOT and had nothing to do with the property, or it's owners. I have never had a smooth check in experience with a Vacasa property.
Owners: Please find someone local.
