Toilets were extremely unhygienic, cockroaches were seen running across. Even after the complains, hotel gave a deaf ear to us. Very very disappointing. No one should ever stay there.

There was a musty smell upon arrival. I wish some places would air out their rooms ahead of time when they know they are already booked for the night. Staff good. Travel agent hard to understand. Belfast good. Nice facilities.

the reviews didnt mention that the hotel caters to people from India and is in an Indian neighborhood...I was the only westerner in the place...and most of the restaurants around the place are Indian....all guests to the room need a passport to get in....there are restaurants on site that are good, but the bars onsite are usually empty....

Value for money
Location is good - an easy walk to Al Fahidi metro station and the old souks area, but not much non-Indian food options nearby. Hotel was quite dated but decent and clean. Staff were helpful. Overall a good value for money option in downtown Dubai.

Not much expectation reached as I was expecting
Nothing to specialise they stay but my flight reached at 8 am in the morning n I was on the car parking till 1 pm . I Have requested Ascot hotel to give us any room to get refresh . But they reject n told hotel policy check in is from 2 pm and check out will be 12 pm . This situation made me upset . And other rest of the things were fine n good . Saved time to see the city . Also more comfort to near the shopping centres n shops .

The night club is very noisy daily. You can´t sleep. Night club is based on prostitutes catching hotel customers. Not recommended for family leisure days.

Excellent. Had heart attack.superb staff.
Had very difficult time while holidaying in Dubai. The manager & I think front desk officer looked after us. The ambulance was called immediately & got the needed care. Unfortunately, never got the chance to get their names. All this happened on our first day at the hotel, however my wife checked out on the third day.

This is by no means a four-star hotel! The standard room on the third floor I had was old, tiny and dark. The bathroom was so tiny that I couldn't use it with an open door as the door reached to the wash sink and blocked all space. There was a small rusty and stained bath with a dirty shower curtain I couldn't even touch. Mould was everywhere. Despite it being the non-smoking room, the smell of stale smoke was unbearable. I'm a business traveller and I usually don't complain about my accomodation, but this was my worst experience ever! I remember staying in a two-star hotel in Dubai which was better than this one. Avoid this hotel at all costs!

Just nice, clean with a great pool.
Our bathroom ceiling leaked, broken water pipes! but was quickly moved to another room. Small but clean rooms. Tempatures everyday, 44 degrees+. Pool was excellent to cool down. Expensive alcohol drinks!!

No bell boy to help with my bags or just welcome to the hotel. All the people at the front desk area need to be train on greeting the guess!! Hotel just have guys guarding the eleven they are good at that. No courtiers at all. I have stayed in difference hotel in Dubai, but nothing like this one. I order some ice and when the ice melts it milky water. I will never stay there or recommend anyone.

Not greatest hotel, beds are 2 singles stuck together and solid hard, hot water system is slow or even changes to cold all of the sudden,furniture worn out, BED BUGS in my bed which are me alive all night the first night until I complained at 3am. Staff were caring and changed and upgraded my room for the remaining 6 nights, and wifi charges are ridiculously over prices at 60 dirhams for 24 hours where most hotels in dubai are now complimentary.

Nightmare before going to hospital
When I arrived I couldn't believe the Executive room was a few square meters, low ceilings, old smelly curtains and blanket (that probably hasn't been washed in long while) and at the top of that a night club underneath which kept me awake all night just the day before going to surgery. The price was high way robbery for the service. I'll never, ever come back

Really bad smell
The hotel had bad smell and staff very unprofessional. Very expensive internet and really slow. The Russian bar in the 5th floor was playing high music until 3 at night you could hardly sleep. When you complaint they couldn't do anything about. I would never go back to that hotel and nit recommending anyone either.

Aged hotel needs upgrade. Very dark and dated.
Rather than renovating their rooms it appears as though the build the Royal Ascot next door and kept the Ascot pretty much as it was with maybe a light upgrade of TVs to LCD. Overall was disappointed especially after coming from the Alhamra Hotel hotel for less which was light-years nicer. This is a value hotel and in now way luxury. You get what you pay for (or less). Staff was friendly but had to stand for my rights in order to get the advertised free internet. Officially it is extra and almost equivalent to the cost of the room on a daily basis. I would rather not hassle and simply get what was promised without making a point of it.
